How %#$@ing twisted of a world do we live in that I can't put Michael Bay's Transformers movies on this list, because so many people #&$^%!@ like them?!
Tough shit.  ;) But yannow what? even though I enjoyed them, I can at least see how some people might hate them. So I approach those films from a more realist sort of view(Ironic considering they're about giant transforming alien robots huh?)
I'll give you a pass because of your hot avatar.
I'm sure the Nostalgia Chick would appreciate that. Thx  ;D

Not to be outdone by the recently quipped "Big-lipped starving children moment"

I actually kind of liked the first Transformers to be honest.  I don't get a lot of the Michael Bay hate on some of his previous movies.  So he uses stereotypes, whoopty doo.  Almost every movie has some kind of stereotype in it.  I don't exactly consider that a deal breaker that takes away from all the cool action in his movies.  Armageddon is another one of his that are alright movies despite the absurdity.  Come on, at least you can laugh at Steve Buscemi's character in that one.

Transformers 2 though...........................AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Relaxing Dragon

At this point I would like to mention that I love Bad Boys II, and am in fact pretty alright with most of Bay's canon.

Well, except Transformers 2. That film is a sin against nature.

Okay.... I attempted watching this movie a while back. I made it halfway through (I have a pretty strong constitution for bad movies!),  but this one defeated me. This is by far the worst thing I have ever tried to watch. Incomprehensible... random noises... indistinguishable dialogue. Trust me... I don't think drugs could even get me through this thing. Its just random hand puppets chewing on hamburger meat.

I still say, just because all of those people went to see it, it doesn't mean they all enjoyed it.

But a LOT of people bought it on DVD later. And then went to see the sequel in droves. So, yeah,  a lot of people like it.

I think it's very hypocritical that people make such a big deal out of Transformers 2 when last Christmases movie adaptation of "The Spirit" was much, MUCH worse. Then again it didn't make that much so I guess that's why we keep the complaining to a minimum... it's all about grosses.

So, you're saying that Twilight: New Moon is a brilliant film....if it's really just about how many people see something?

No, that's clearly not what he's saying.  It was he thinks The Spirit was worse than TF2 but less people know about The Spirit since high profit = people saw it.

Okay....so how is not putting down something you didn't see "hypocritical"?

It is hypocritical, I think he's making 2 points.  The first saying that people dump on TF2 a lot just because it's Bay (which I'd agree with) then quantifies that by saying it's also probably due to very few people having seen The Spirit.

It's almost like you didn't read it properly because you wanted to re-state the same point about box office you always make  ;D

Are you all through putting words in my mouth now? What I meant is that the more a "crappy" movie makes dollar-wise, the more of a trashing it tends to get from us all on the board(myself included). I haven't seen many people bash "The Spirit", which is one of the worst movies that I have seen in the theater. It was so unbelievably bad I couldn't stop watching. There's something really insidious about a movie that is so bad you HAVE to keep watching, and in my opinion, that makes it worth bashing the hell out of, even more than TF2.
