It's more fun to talk about and bust on a terrible movie than a good one.  I mean, you can talk about the cinematic merits of Casablanca and have a good conversation, but it's not as fun as mocking The Room.

Courtney

Yeah, I've got nothing bad to say about Casablanca, and there's no fun in gushing over a movie everyone loves.  This is the internet!  That's not what this is all about!

I've noticed there's also something about The Room that sticks in your head. It's all me and Tyrant have talked about for the last week. It's like it makes so little sense that it won't leave your brain until you've justified its existance, and there's no way to justify it's existance. I think we're all just trying to come to terms with what we've seen. :^)

Yeah its like a Borg paradox- once its entered our minds, we are going to analyze it whether it destroys us or not.

Imagine how much better Casablanca would have been if the bloated corpse of Brittney Spears beautiful Lisa would have been in it.

Rick would have taken off on the plane instead of staying behind and the Nazis would have surrendered on the spot.

It's gone beyond merely entering our minds. As in the movie, it has liberally invited itself in and had sex with itself on the couches of our subconciousness while our conciousness is out for the day. I would attempt to end this mad process for myself only I know my last words on Earth would be," Oh hai, gun barrelrrrg..." thus assurring The Room's victory over my soul.

Indomitus

I believe Lewis Black talked about something like that in his stand-up routine once.  It started with overhearing someone saying "If it weren't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college" and ended with them finding you dead on your bathroom floor from an "unexplainable" aneurysm.

I'm beginning to think The Room is actually The Ring; you watch it, and seven days later...

...aw, crap.
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

Seven days later, you have sex with the beautiful Lisa. Or the lumpy Tommy.

Hmm...guess it is a curse, after all.
