Just to throw my hate in the ring (no, not a typo)....   Personally, I think Bill sucks....  his nook!!!   ;D

Aw come on guys.  Go easy on Bill.  You know he's been cranky ever since that whole thunderdome fiasco.

Still? I thought he'd have gotten past that whole fiasco by now.

I can't tell if that is Kaufman-esque genius or if you just missed one that flew right over the plate...
FINE

Let's just say that I bunted

dalem

A bunt like that wouldn't even get beyond the third base line.

You ruined my riff.  That makes me sad.

I... I still kinda think he maybe improved it...

Well, yeah, in the way that Coca-Cola improved their flagship soft drink with New Coke.

It's ok, you can admit that you thought it was funny. We won't judge you.

I agree, I like the surrealist slant

Pak-Man

Finally got around to this one. After seeing some less than stellar reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was nicely surprised. There was a LOT of good gamer humor woven in this 'trax, which the source material practically demanded. Wasn't the best Rifftrax yet, but wasn't bad either. Megakudos to all involved. :^)

I suspect this might have something to do with why the reaction has been somewhat mixed on this rifftrax. There is a lot of gamer and computer related humor and while I agree with Pak-Man that you almost need to have that when you are riffing on Tron, it also meant that the less gaming and computer-savvy listeners were likely to miss a fairly high percentage of the references.

As for myself, I quite enjoyed this trax. Well done.

Yes, I think Moleman and Grug just assume that Mike, Kevin and Bill have much thinner skin then they actually have. Probably just a projectionist way of thinking.

Well I'm not really sure what you mean by that but I am "projecting" in that I don't think it would be right for me, as an iRiffer, to go around to other iRiffs and say they suck or are overrated (even though there really are a few I feel that way about).  There's no reason to do that and what would saying that possibly achieve anyway?

And no I don't believe Bill is deeply offended that the Quiptracks guy said something bad about something associated with Rifftrax.  I was really just telling invader quirk for his benefit because some people might see it that way.

Sounds like someone's cruising for a "sighing."

;P

Wouldn't that be "vying for a 'sighing?'"

We watched this in a pretty large group last night, as part of our July 4th celebrations.  It went over really well, especially a lot of the computer-oriented humor.

Conor tweeted this a while ago re: the Tron commentary:

Quote@michaeljnelson When @jonathancoulton harmonized with @paulandstorm on "Schnappi" then went seamlessly into a Daddy Day Camp joke, I wept

Alas, it was a joke.  Or, if it wasn't, I got an edited version of the riff.  Darn.  Was so looking forward to some Schnappi three-part harmony.

I am, it hardly needs to be said, torn apart.
