I really hope it's good. And with so much of the original talent involved that helps persuade me it might be (most of them have gone on record at one time or another about not being satisfied with the 2nd one, so hopefully they have learned from it).
Frankly one of the biggest things against it is the pent up anticipation from it being talked about for sooooo long.

I'm not holding my breath until it's actually out in the theatres.  There was supposed to be a Ghostbusters 3 sometime between 1998-2000, and it never happened.  I've been burned before.  I'm just glad the game is coming out.

I will admit to still being a bit pissed at Bill Murrey being the one to delay this so long. It's all well and good that he's attached and going to do it now. But honestly, he's the one who did those godawful Garfield movies, far worse than anything else the other guys have been in (including Ernie Hudson). I am expecting him to really hit this one out of the park. Then and only then will I to eat my words when I said for so many years that they should have made one without him and just had Venkman be a gravestone.

Oh, and just as a fanboy, I want to see Mike Nelson as a Ghostbuster in a cameo. He's been out of a jumpsuit too long.

That would be great. While it is a comedy (and a very funny one at that) it does take itself seriously so I think a Rifftrax would work. If not Mike, Kevin and Bill, then perhaps Cinester Theater since they did such a great job with Back to the Future.

Regardless of my opinions of whether or not this will actually happen, or whether or not I think it should happen, and whether or not I think it will be any good, one thing is for certain;

I WILL see it, no matter what.

Aw, I'm sad that the original actors are in it again. I want them to do it as a reboot, only darker, grittier, and with lots of lens flare and shaky-cam.  And also, let's get rid of anything that makes the characters like their original versions except the names, which can be used as a cash-in to get "butts in seats" opening weekend.

Also instead of "busting ghosts" (that's -so- 80s) let's have them arresting criminals.  In super-sigma-8 suits. That would be BADASS.

There also needs to be a scene with a ghost urinating on someone. Or one of the Ghostbusters taking a leak on a ghost. Or both. Possibly at the same time.
