True. I guess by "freezing cold", I mean its colder then the freezing point - 32 degrees Fahrenheit

So that would make liquid nitrogen even more freezing-er   ::)

Wait...your in Canada. Don't you use Celcius? In which case it would be 0 degree's celcius. :-P

Cowboy Beebop - Yeah, it's not a movie, but seriously, my friends practically had to chain me down to get me to watch it after a stupid title like that.  Great show.  Crappy title.

The chaining down was worth it though, wasn't it? Criticizing anime titles is a lost cause. I especially love that cowboy and beboop are two words that don't have counterparts in Japanese, so the title of the show in Japan is Kaubôi Bibappu. Say it out loud.

Crazy Celsius crap. Water freezing at 0 and boiling at 100? That's way too easy. I can't even remember what water boils at in Fahrenheit, and I like it that way. God bless America!

i felt the same way about cowboy bebop untill i watched the show.

cowboy= bounty hunter

bebop= both the style of music in the show and the name of their ship.

Its kinda like the life aquatic that i was complaining about.  it seems like such a terrible title until you watch the show.

Yes, but I speak "American" for my friends south of the border  ;)

How about anything with '.com' in the title?

For instance:
fear.com (I laughed hysterically in the theatre at that trailer)
power.com

Also, I don't think Equilibrium was a title that accurately described the movie either.  Which is a shame, because I wasted 107 minutes of my life watching it.

Equilibrium was fucking Macbeth compared to Ultraviolet though.  Speaking of bad titles.  You see, the characters name is Violet, and she's like ultra and shit.  Get It!!!!

Excuse me, i just had an aneurism thinking about that movie again.

That reminds me of a scene in an episode of Futurama. For some reason, one of the characters was watching tv, and they were watching Iron Chef. Of course, in the future world of Futurama, it was called "Aye-an Cook-uu-ruu!"

I 'bout lost my lunch when I heard that one! I was watching this ep. of Futurama at a friend's house, and we both would watch Iron Chef whenever we could. (I'm talking about the Japanese version ported to American audiences by Food Network)

In Sweden, it was called Cubic, for some odd reason. I kind of liked it, but I did see it without any preconceptions whatsoever.

I am so sick of everybody trashing this work of pure genius. I mean the name of the town they go to is NILBOG. That is brilliant! NILBOG is GOBLIN spelled backwards! Why doesn't everyone see how wonderful that is! It's f*cking beautiful in it's simplicity!! It's superb!!! It's.....it's.....(breaks down in tears) :'(
Aaahh! This movie just throws you violently into the next scene!

Lucas could have used the title "Star Wars 2: Send in the Clones" and it couldn't have been any more ridiculous than the real title.

He was doing us a favor by lowering our expectations. Titles like Star Wars: the clone wars or Star Wars: the Rise of Vader would have way too much to live up to (yes I'm aware these titles dont describe the prequels that we currently have)
