28 Days.

I heard that and I was like, "Great.  PMS: The Movie."

And it's sequel, 28 Days Later: The Return Of Menses.

"Parts: The Clonus Horror" .... What is that?? Clonus isn't even a word? And show me anyone besides your porn addicts that would go to a movie with the word "Parts" in the title?

(raises hand)

Oh, wait.  Never mind.  I almost forgot that I AM a porn addict. ;D
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

Before I knew of what 28 Days Later was about, I always thought it was a sequel to 28 Days.

In the context of the movie, it fits. However, maybe a more mainstream version should be just The Life Aquatic, which I think sounds rather awesome.

But then again, this is a film from Wes Anderson. There's nothing mainstream about that.

Exactly. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou is a perfect name for the film. It's also the name of his ocean documentary. Besides The Life Aquatic, what else could it have been possibly called?

something that makes the movie sound interesting ;)

Hey can one of you guys in another country confirm that Weird Al's classic, UHF, was changed because they didn't have UHF overseas to the much more nonsensical, "The Videot From UHF"? :^)
Just called UHF in the UK, no worries on that score.

"Tales That Witness Madness"
One of the most awkward-sounding titles ever.

The French title of the film Arthur and the Invisibles always seems kinda weird to me:  Arthur et les Minimoys.

I keep picturing Dudley more surrounded by perfect 1/8 scale clones of Mr. Spock.  Of course, I was constantly imagining that long before I ever heard of Arthur and the Invisibles, but my point still stands!   :)

"Jason, Chess is a game of chance."

Hobbit

Pumaman - I mean, seriously.  That name might strike emotional chords with small mountain goats, but to me "Pumaman" sound like a shoe spokesman.

Plan 9 From Outer Space - Not only is it plan 9, which offers 17% more confusion than plan 8, but it's from *gasp* OUTER SPACE[/i].  Holy crap, I think I wet my pants thinking abou it.

Cowboy Beebop - Yeah, it's not a movie, but seriously, my friends practically had to chain me down to get me to watch it after a stupid title like that.  Great show.  Crappy title.

As for the title "Mystery Science Theater 3000," I think Servo had it about right in the pre-nationwide episode "Fugitive Alien."  Joel commented that Fugitive Alien didn't seem to have anything to do with the movie and was probably just two cool words stuck together.  Servo responded by saying, "Oh, kinda like 'Mystery Science?'"

Cool as Ice

I'm sorry, but Vanilla Ice is not 'that' cool.

AND,

Ice isn't cool...its cold...freezing cold.
