He's not returning for the sequel. It's not even going to be a sequel, it's going to be a(nother) reboot. It's probably going to be an entirely new cast and crew.
I wonder who will portray Superman...

Have they really tossed out the cast?
I don't think anyone wants to see those people return, even those people don't want to see themselves return.

He was a decent Superman.  A pity he was Clark for all of 2 minutes in the movie though.

I liked Routh in the movie too, and I've said several times I liked Spacey as Luthor a lot more than Hackman.

BD is short for Bluray Disc.  I think they avoided using R in the acronymn because people would associate it with "recordable"

Speak for yourself. Routh was great.
I suppose. He could have done more as Clark though.

The problem I have with Clark in the movies is that he's such a pussy.  I much rather prefer the comics version, or even the Lois and Clark TV series one.

Concurred.  In fact, I liked the whole cast for the most part and I enjoyed the movie perhaps in spite of itself.  With a different script, it could have been great.

The problem I have with almost every Luthor these days is he's never really very smart. Not even as smart as most movie villains, as it turns out. Which is kind of sad. He invented the supervillain and he's a mediocre one at best. If they insist on exploiting him, they need to make him more than just a bald guy.

I loved his wardrobe. That's about it but it'll do.

Doctor Who?

Luthor wore that outfit in the Superfriends cartoon at least.

Also I loved Returns and would be sad to see the cast go away.

I think Routh did a good job, especially considering that the extent of Singer's direction to him was "act like Christopher Reeve".
