Doctor Who?

Tripe

I personally love Teenage Girl President, I want to see it as an animated series :)

Doctor Who?

I am sure Toon Disney would give it the greenlight and pay you millions if you pitched it.

I've never even heard of a "magical negro" film other than Bagger Vance. Unless you count every Morgan Freeman movie.

Morgan Freeman is heavily represented on that list.

The most famous non-Freeman example = The Green Mile

If David Blaine ever makes a movie would you see it?
On timeout

Of whom are you asking that question? Surely no one capable of understanding how a computer works, how to answer a question, or in fact even wipe themselves.

Yep.  Blaine might as well call it Chairman of the Board II, and just get it over...

In what way was it a remake?
Watch it again, then watch the original Superman. If you still don't see it, repeat the first two steps.

Granted, I think Superman Returns sucked donkey balls, and was anti climactic, but I don't recall a plot about a giant kryptonite island in the first movie.  Nor a Superson.  I guess when Superman rescues the airplane that Lois is on could be seen as taken from the first one in the fact that he rescues her from an ariel vehicle.  And he goes flying around stoping bad guys for a few minutes, but other than those 2 examples they are not the same at all.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

There were a few instances where the dialogue was lifted wholesale from the first Superman movie, and Lex's plan in both was essentially a scheme to make a lot of money off of exclusive property rights.  Maybe that's what they're talking about.

Darth Geek

Luthor's plans in the movies have always been about land. In the second one, he wanted Australia.

Sideswipe

His passion is beach front property, to be exact.

Look, the "returning" was inconsequential because we never saw him leave. The kid was a minor subplot at best. Him lifting the island is only superficially different from him lifting the San Andreas fault. Lex being obsessed with land is PURELY stolen from the first movie, and not drawn in any part from the character in the comics or cartoons. Lex having a dumb secretary is stolen from the first movie. Lex finding the Fortress is stolen from the second movie. Saving the plane was actually from the comics, but still a sequel-style remake of the first action scene in the original (and most likely, the comics based it on that scene as well). Him flying with Lois is a ripoff of the first movie. So what's original? The stalking, the moping, the dog cannibalism, Lois being engaged or married, the yacht. Nothing particularly interesting. It's not better than the first movie and it's not better than the second movie and it borrows ideas and dialogue from both. So if it's not a remake or a rehash, I don't know what it is other than redundant. The movie has one good scene and one good line. It might as well be a trailer.

I'm kind of sad that Bryan Singer is returning for the sequel. I mean he's a good director but he got too jaded and obsessed with recreating something. I just hope this time he pulls his head fully out of his ass.

He's not returning for the sequel. It's not even going to be a sequel, it's going to be a(nother) reboot. It's probably going to be an entirely new cast and crew.
