Well, I always admired this one for daring to ramble:

Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood

While drinking your juice?  ??? :o

It was in order to squeeze in a reference to this movie among all the others.

Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood is a pretty funny film.

Dashiki: Now kids, what do we say to a man that Mommy just met?
Kids: Are you my daddy?

That's not all that different from the Thin Man and Pink Panther series. (Serieses?) Each subsequent film had nothing to do with the thin man or the pink panther, but Hollywood had little respect for the audience's intelligence, even in the '40s. Does anyone know if A Shot In The Dark did poorer because it didn't have "pink panther" in the title?

I hope not! A Shot in the Dark was the best one!

Some of my least favorites:

The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!?
The Saga of the Viking Women and Their Voyage to the Waters of the Great Sea Serpent

You know what title really makes me laugh?  "Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie".  I mean, seriously, who came up with that title?  It sounds like the name of a low budget cable show, or something.
CROW:  (Sinisterly) The Secret Government Eggo Project...

well I guess that I can admit (perhaps shamefully) that I've never known what the 3000 stands for...

I think it was a safer distance away at the time of the show's creation than the near-perennial Sci Fi year 2000 (like the British comic book 2000 AD, which actualy still carries the same name), and maybe just an upping of the ante on the various 2000-themed SF offering around.

"Lever 2000: will clean all your 2000 parts "

yes, yes the 3000 was probably just a funny way to make the title more spiffy

The 'K' in 3K is for "Karl." Karl invented lightning.

I saw a trailer for that before Rocky Balboa and the whole time my mouth was wide open then when the title of the movie was shown my cousin and I started laughing so hard.
