While that's odd to an extent, moist tissue is actually a better way to clean up back there.

But you know you can actually get real moist tissue not resort to babywipes.
Yeah, but baby wipes smell better.

Maybe he will bulk up like Bale did for Batman.

I admit I've never picked up an Iron Man comic, so this may get me in trouble, but...does he really need to "bulk up"? He's in the service, but they require fitness, not size.  And he's going to be in a powered suit, no?

My only real reason for thinking about his build is the fact that the character is essentially career military (I think).

The terrorists in this movie were so ridiculous.  Reminded me of the True Lies terrorists.  It's hard to get into it when the villians are so pathetic.
Why didn't they have an ACTUAL terrorist mastermind instead of having them take their marching orders from The Dude?

That was Flynn, it wasn't the dude.  I'm surprised YOU didn't know that...

Little did you know that "The Big Lebowski" is actually Tron 2.  The Dude is what happens to a programmer when he gets old.  He changes his name, takes up bowling, and gets a rug that really ties the room together.

QuoteYeah but in Batman Begins they made an error and corrected it in the second film.
Er, no. Katie Holmes was cast to be tits, and she was tits. She obviously wasn't going to be let out of her cage to play tits in the second movie, so they got someone who looked remotely like her. Except she didn't have tits, so they just blew her up to avoid dealing with the situation again in the third one. The character itself was a mistake, and they didn't fix that by blowing her up. They would have fixed it if she wasn't in the movie at all. And also CG'ed out of the first one.

Howard is obviously an idiot who needs to pay more attention to what goes on in Hollywood outside of his own agent's office (as do most actors). He pulled a Marcus Chong, and they canned him just the same. Don't ask for a-list money if you didn't do crap in the first movie. You could ask for more money after the second one is popular, and would get more for the third one regardless. But once you're all like, "You need me," you're screwed.

Sam Jackson's appearing in the sequel, at least:

QuoteAnd speaking of "Iron Man 2?, Latino Review caught up with Sam Jackson at a press junket for his movie "Soul Men" and asked about his participation in the sequel.

He said he spoke with Favreau last night and was told he is in the sequel. What his role is, or how big it would be, he didn't expand upon. But he did joke about making sure to sign a contract after what happened with Terrence Howard.

The IMDB poll today is about the casting change.  And as of this writing, the top three answers are:

  • 29.8% - Generally speaking, I'm against replacing performers in franchise movies; I hope this Hollywood drama will resolve itself, and Howard will return to the role
  • 23.8% - I do not feel one way or the other about this story.
  • 20.1% - I'm sad; I thought Terrence Howard was great as Rhodey, and I'd like to see him return.

Last one was my choice.

Is there an option for "Howard has a tiny face on a huge noggin"? That'd be my choice.

OH!  I can't look at Howard now without thinking this, Imrahi.  Thanks a lot!   ;D
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

He's always reminded me of a black Benicio Del Toro.

I guess I could see that, not as hairy though, few animalsmen are.

Tell me if I understand Latino Review correctly... no one pays attention to immigrants on movie sets, so they eavesdrop and break the news without getting caught. Is that right? It's the only explanation. "Latino Review" doesn't even sound like it has anything to do with movies. It sounds like a magazine that reviews Latinos.

BathTub

That sounds more like RVR's job.

Surprised I'm the first to post this (assuming I am - can't find it elsewhere on the forum)

From the Detroit Free Press:

QuoteRobert Downey Jr. makes 'Iron' again
October 30, 2008

The once-troubled but always-talented Robert Downey Jr. scored huge when he landed the starring role as the bad-guy-battling billionaire Tony Stark in the summer blockbuster "Iron Man." Opening weekend receipts of $100 million put the sequel in immediate motion, but on Wednesday Variety reported Downey is a confirmed participantin two more "Iron Man" movies -- and also will fuel the superhero all-star movie "The Avengers." "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau ("Swingers") is set to helm the second "Iron Man" flick, slated to pound theaters in May 2010, and also will executive produce "The Avengers," aimed for July 2011. "The Avengers" will unite Marvel characters Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and the Incredible Hulk. Downey is currently in London filming "Sherlock Holmes."

And that's two movies on top of The Avengers film.
