I Just Finished Watching...

I just watched Santa Clause Conquers the Martians yesterday. THe Polar Bear suit and Torg the robot still have me in stitches. Torg especially, as they build him up to be such a threat first. "Nothing can stop Torg." And then for no reason whatsoever he just stops in Santa's workshop and they just abandon him.

Just watched Master Ninja.
Had only seen it once before, so it felt like new. It was a decent riff, but nothing really stood out or made me hurt from laughing. Oh well. At least there's Master Ninja 2!!

Also, I just happened to watch Riding With Death - an episode I've had on tape for a very long time, but never watched.  You turkeys.  I have to start watching MST3K more now.

Every time I see someond cleaning their glasses, my mind goes back to that ten minute glass cleaning scene and I start giggling.

My avatar is actually right before the "Leak Taker" scene (hilarious every time I see it.)  But I am more of a Bus Taker in real life... or a Bike Taker - but Joe was never called a Bike Taker.  Can you imagine Joe biking in his priest robes?  He would've lost the rest of his dignity - if he had any to begin with.

This Island Earth is a great riff. Plus, the part where Mike and the bots riff the movie credits is genius.

Saw Time Chasers yesterday. Amazing riff. If it weren't for MST3K picking this up, it may have been up there with Manos and Ben and Arthur.

I actually read on Wikipedia that the cast and crew of the film actually had a reunion party just for this MST3K episode. Nice to see people being happy with their own movies getting riffed.

Its also well known that some of the cast members walked out of the party, because they didn't understand that they were going to get made fun of. So they got upset and left.

Prince of Space. Classic MST3K stuff. I love how the Prince of Space consistently reminds his foes about the uselessness of their weapons.
