What was the name of the music they used for the trailers? That music was catchy. :D

If you're talking about what I think you are, it was the theme from the movie Brazil.

This right?

It's not a direct copy of that song, but it's damn near identical.

It is the same music from the film Brazil - it's from this scene:

I knew I recognized it when I saw the trailer, couldn't remember off the top of my head which version or part of the song they used though.

Here's the soundtrack CD to Brazil, the song they used for the Wall-E trailer is the first one "Central Services / The Office", and was produced by Michael Kamen.

Speaking of music....maybe I shouldn't admit this but....

Despite this film and how much Wall*E loves it....Hello, Dolly still kind of gives me the creeps.

That song is the music for the entirety of Brazil, just changed a bit to fit the mood.  That song is what inspired the movie before it was even a movie.  It's why it's called Brazil, and it's why people always think the film is some sort of national geographic piece.

I've heard it in a commercial before and was a little annoyed.  But I think it fits in Walle.  it was used as the sort of worker bee anthem in Brazil, where everyone is busy and supposedly happy.

just got back from the movie (used the free pass) and LOVED it. Another great movie from Pixar. Sitting through the previews made me further appreciate the class and awesomeness of Pixar. Are they the only animation company that can make something even halfway decent anymore? Ok here is a rundown of what I remember being previewed:

Madagascar 2 - First was meh and 2nd films are almost always worse.
Beverly Hills Chihuahua - I was laughing very hard to myself because all I could picture was that 6th sense clip of the dad watching the trailer for it.
Fly Me to the Moon- House flies going to the moon in Apollo 11 (by disney)
Bolt - TV super dog thinks the show is real and the girl kidnapped in the show has really been kidnapped (by disney)
Some other movie (think again by disney)

The last 3 were all done by disney and looked horrible! Animation was ok but really stupid idea with the flies. The dog one looked semi passable, but the dog teams up with a cat and a hamster in a ball. That just made it worse.

Disney produces absolute crap, unless Pixar makes it. I hope someday Pixar breaks away from Disney and goes independent.

It is all marketing (assholeness). It is a "Snatch the pebble from my hand." type trick. They let you know. Ok you only have a few weeks to get this one then we are not going to sell it for a year or two. Then everyone runs out and buys one because "OMG it is disney and it is a classic film! I might have kids by then and want them to see it!"

Absolutely. D@*& business majors are the death of the consumer, and therefore the business.

I agree. Although the first thing I thought of was the In Living Color skit with Jim Carrey trying to snatch the pebble from his master. He gets frustrated and pulls a gun on him. I can't find it on youtube.

I try to get the discs the days they come out but they always seem to come out when i am very low on cash and they cost $25-$30 each!

It's a shame becouse I really love the Disney shorts from the 30s,40s,and50s.

I would really, really, like Pinnochio to be released on Blu-Ray.  Dumbo would be fun, too.
