I'm pretty sure the only time Isaac ever smiles is when he sees Eddy Murphy in a fat suit.

Thanks for the personal message, Isaac.  I didn't have enough people saying "fuck" in my inbox.

Oh, DO share!

Why not? After all, Isaac puts the "douche" in "do share."

(Don't take it personally, kid. I'd have gone for that joke regardless of the subject)

*in a pointless attempt to get the thread back online*

I guess the "talent" in these movies works so cheap, crap like Date Movie, Meet the Spartans, etc. can make turn enough of a profit to make it worthwhile.    I wonder what part of the country watches these things?    We need to find out and nuke that part....... then film THAT as a disaster movie.

I think the original Posideon has riff potential.

The part of the country that watches these things are called, "My Family" and they also like Larry the Cable Guy.  I apologize from the bottom of my heart that my gene pool has had a hand in perpetuating this lunacy.

in case the first trailer gave the impression that this would be an actual parody, and not a bunch of references to pop culture
QuoteTV News has posted the second poster for the upcoming "Disaster Movie," which is directed by the masters of terrible filmmaking, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. The duo is known for such films as "Meet the Spartans," "Epic Movie" and "Date Movie."

The poster is spoofing "The Simpsons Movie," showing a half-eaten Earth, instead of a doughnut. The tagline states: "Mother !@#?*% Nature."

The scariest thing of all is that these movies end up debuting at number 1 in the box office.   :gouge:

I know, what's with that?

my guess is that most of them are in the January/February months where the Dune movies go, so with this in August, maybe the industry will see just how bad it truly is..... of course, my friends will probably drag me to this :speechless:

Excellent point!

I saw Superhero Movie because I love Super Hero movies and the trailer made this look.... not completely terrible.  What surprised me the most was how cheap the "special effects" were.  It just looked terrible.  The Scary Movies had some production value... now a days these movies have... Carmen Electra.

Unfortunately, late August is after the summer movie season. While Labor Day weekend is the last big gasp for summer itself, it generally doesn't translate into box-office returns. Sounds like Disaster Movie is doing exactly what the previous films have done: staying out of the way of any serious competition, to capture as much of the (greatly reduced) audience as possible.

Frigging cowards. At least Uwe Boll tried to put out Postal the same weekend as Indiana Jones.  :)
