RiffTrax should counter-program this drivel by putting out a RiffTrax of The Towering Inferno (actually, any of those Irwin Allen "disaster" pics would be awesome).
I'd be more in favour of The Poseidon Adventure but yeah I'd like to see an IA riff.

Original, Remake or both?

Need I remind you only one has Shelley Winters in it swimming underwater.

There's three actually.  The Shelley Winters one, the ridiculous big budget one, and the other one has a massive dose of Guttenberg.

I'm taking it the Guttenberg version was a T.V. movie?

Yes.  And it had even less to do with the original than the other remake.  It was basically Titanic.

Without all that annoying "history" to bog it down, I assume?
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

The big budget remake does have a pretty sweet Kurt Russell drowning scene.
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

doggans

So, another ninety minutes of non-jokes "spoof"ing maybe three disaster movies and fifty unrelated recent movies.

I'd rather just watch The Weird Al Show's disaster trailer spoof ninety times in a row. I'd get a lot more laughs out of that.

And it is for that only reason I don't want a Rifftrax of this.  I have a terrible drowning phobia.  I can't watch it in movies, I don't go underwater for longer than five seconds, and I have a body count from all of the dumb boys that thought it was funny to push me underwater at various pool parties growing up.

Same here.  I almost drowned when I was younger and I've never gotten over it to my eternal shame coming from an islands people and all.

Tripe

I almost drown in the English channel when I was a bairn. Actually come to think of it that should be: my older sister almost drowned me in the English channel when I was a bairn.  Bitch

Don't. It's not worth it. It's not worth the pain, it's certainly not worth the money (which neither of these hacks deserve), and it's not worth your time.

Quote from: Imrahil on June 03, 2008, 11:59:02 AMIt's at this point that I remind everyone Isaac loved Norbit.

I don't "love" Norbit, you fucking moron.

And it is nowhere near as bad as the Frieberg/Seltzer horseshit. Norbit is actually funny. I can't even watch the trailers of anything by Friedberg/Seltzer. Date Movie is the worst comedy I've ever attempted to watch.

Thanks for the personal message, Isaac.  I didn't have enough people saying "fuck" in my inbox. Enjoy some reminiscing with us, won't you?

Quote from: Isaac on May 02, 2008, 02:48:36 PM

I actually found Norbit to be a funny movie.

Quote from: bratpop on May 02, 2008, 02:39:14 PMWorst. Poster. EVER.

There are worse posters.

I honestly don't see what's so bad about it.

Quote from: Isaac on May 06, 2008, 12:02:28 PM

I never said it was a classic, or particularly original, but that I found it humorous. But more people found Norbit to be mediocre than genuinely awful. Date Movie and Epic Movie are fucking unwatchable.

Tripe, go fuck yourself. You are a worthless trash heap who serves no purpose to humanity.

You couldn't even come close to viewing the number of films I've seen, or even the diversity of the films I've seen.

Norbit is one of those movies that you watch once, but doesn't necessarily become a favorite or a film you'd view again soon. It's an average comedy. I doubt that half of the people who bashed it had even seen it.

Go suck a choad.

WHERE did I say that I "loved" Norbit?

Thank you for another useless post. You want to derail/troll some more threads for us, as if we don't have enough of that already?

Before this thread degenerates I thought I would post this because it is appropriate...and funny.

I think I should update my sig, perhaps.

I NEVER said that I "loved" Norbit. And repeatedly saying that I did does make you look like a moron.

I'd rather watch the porno I shot with your mother.
