I'm sure Courtney has some spare copies lying around.  She's always looking to proselytize about the virtues of The Elwes.

The Elwesians know that Cary Elwes is a way of life.  Please, take some of our literature.  You can find more information at your local wellness center.  Ohm.

The movie does stick to the whole "if you have a dog in the movie, you can't kill it" rule, and uses it to further the plot.

Actually, before the film came out, there was an early draft of the script floating about the net. In that one, they send out the dog, it makes it halfway to the gun store... and then a pack of zombie dogs kills Rover.  I like the filmed version better.

Quote from: Jacob T. Caboose on May 27, 2008, 05:05:26 PMhonestly, I don't know, I don't remember there being a date, but you know I am watching different versions of the same films so the original could pop up

If you ever watch Day of the Dead, just make sure that the director credited is GEORGE A. ROMERO, not Steve "I directed Soul Man" Miner. Just a little bit of advice.

And, yes, I was suggesting the original Dawn of the Dead. And I do hate the remake.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

He also directed Friday the 13th Part 2, thank you very much. And part 3 as well, which is, without argument, the best 3D Friday the 13th movie. And it's the one where Jason gets his mask, so it is awesome.

Young Frankenstein (Courtney)

A young neurosurgeon (Gene Wilder) inherits the castle of his grandfather, the famous Dr. Victor von Frankenstein. In the castle he finds a funny hunchback called Igor, a pretty lab assistant named Inga and the old housekeeper, frau Blucher -iiiiihhh!-. Young Frankenstein believes that the work of his grandfather is only crap, but when he discovers the book where the mad doctor described his reanimation experiment, he suddenly changes his mind...

from the comedic genius of Mel Brooks, comes this comedic spoof of Mary Shelly's 1931 classic Frankenstein (Starring Bela Lugosi). This is one of the few films that I liked better after the second viewing, I had already seen it once before. The film stars Gene Hack-man as The good Doctor, and Martin Landau as his sidekick Igor and Peter lorre as the monster. the story is about the grandsons of Dr. Frankenstein and Igor creating their own monster. The film was pretty funny, except the rape scene, I'm not sure if it's even possible to make rape funny. the film has since inspired a broadway show, much like it's sequel, The Producers, which starred Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. This movie also features a cameo by one Mr. Gene Wilder, as a blind old man.

If not for the Rape scene, this would be awesome, but as it is, it's a whoa.

Is that Jason Bateman?

And...rape scene?

It's Roger Bart, star of YF on Broadway (he was also the main guy in Hostel 2 and a Tony winner for You're A Good Man Charlie Brown's revival).

Yes, but I didn't want to go on and on listing his resume from my memory.  I'm a big enough Broadway nerd as it is.   ;)

From what I remember, Young Frankenstein wasn't really a rape scene. She was very happy with his Shwarzenhoover.

RoninFox

*ahem* Bela Lugosi was not in Frankenstein, you're thinking Dracula.  Boris Karloff was the creature in Frankenstein.

And you mean Gene Hackman was the blind man, not Wilder, Wilder's role was a bit bigger in this movie.   ;D

I'll stop nitpicking now, glad you enjoyed the movie.
