Hepburn is amazing, though Breakfast at Tiffany's isn't her best film.  Roman Holiday or Charade is.  George Peppard is Hannibal from the A-Team! And was a complete shit, apparently.

Audrey Hepburn was a babe. She was great in Roman Holiday. Also good in My Fair Lady.

Yeah, she wasn't exactly the typical beauty of the 50s, but she's perhaps the most appealing actress I've seen onscreen.  There's just a charisma about her that really shines through.  Add to the fact that she was a bit of a saint in real life, too, and she becomes immensely attractive.  :)

Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure (TripeHoundRedux)

Oh My God, that was a joke, I thought the ;) was explicit enough.

Still it's been a while since I had a good noodle whipping.

dude, I'm like Ron Burgundy, you put it on the list, I'm gonna watch it, and any other variation of it  ;) ;) nudge nudge say no more

and with that incredibly subtle foreshadowing

5)
Disturbia (Dr. Mrs. The Monarch)*

After his father is killed in a car accident, things unravel for Kale Brecht and he is placed under house-arrest for punching his Spanish teacher. Having nothing better to do, Kale occupies himself by spying on his neighbors. But one night, he witnesses what appears to be a murder going on in Mr. Turner's house. Kale becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth behind these murders but, after a few unsettling run-ins with Mr. Turner, it becomes a matter of life and death. And the ominous question: Who is watching who?

In this entirely faithful adaptation of some movie I've never seen before, Labeouf plays some dude named Kale, who's put under house arrest and goes crazy, or something, I wasn't really paying that mush attention to it. his hot mom cancels all his fun stuff and cuts the cord on his TV (harsh right). he then becomes a voyeur, viewing his neighbor and the babysitter, or cleaning lady, or something, get it on. there's some subplot about a serial killer or something, but that's not important, because some hot chick has just moved in next door. so yeah, the reason he's put under house arrest, is cause he punched out his Spanish teacher, who doesn't understand the awesomeness of the Spanish word for "perhaps" . there's also a comic relief dude. anyway, a bunch of stuff happened, Kale gets the girl and the bad guy dies at the end.

on the rating scale, a "Huh."(3/5)

You need to see Rear Window ASAP to make up for this.

mrbasehart

I quite liked Disturbia, but yes, Rear Window is an almost perfect film.

YOU CAN"T SEE THE REMAKE AND SAY IT COUNTS! OMG!

especially if the remake has shia the beef in it. you might as well have just watched the bart of darkness episode of the simpsons.

i think YOU deserve a noodle whipping young man!

calm down lady, I just got back to my apartment, It was a 3 hour drive, I never said it counted, just that I was doing it along with the original

anyway, sense you all sort of commanded

Rear Window (Dr. Mrs. The Monarch)

Photagrapher L.B. "Jeff" Jeffries is confined to his small apartment with a broken leg.To pass the time,he watches the goings-on of his motley assortment of neighbors--a frustrated yet fun-loving composer,a middle-aged couple with a small dog,a dancer who seems to enjoy practicing her routines while scantily clad,a pair of reclusive newlyweds,a lonely woman who seems to live in a fantasy world, and a salesman and his invalid wife. One day the wife inexplicably disappears, and the salesman starts doing things that lead Jeff to suspect that he may have murdered her.Unfortunately,he has no proof and no one seems to believe him.Eventually, however, things start falling together in a way that make it look like Jeff might just be right after all. Finally he, his girlfriend Lisa and his nurse Stella come up with a plan to catch the killer red-handed. But doing so could put all of their lives in danger.

well, after seeing the "remake" and this, I don't know which I like better, while this one had suspense and a dog, that one had Horror and hot chicks, now I'm not saying Grace Kelley isn't attractive, by any stretch of the imagination, I'm just saying she's no Carrie-Anne Moss. also this movie has to have one of the longest and scariest cameos by Alfred Hitchcock or should I say Miss Hearing aid! All in all, it was a good movie, and you know the Salesman was evil once he .

rating wise, I give this a "Whoa" (4/5)
a little better than Disturbia

also Disturbia isn't the remake

that is

Disturbia is an "homage"*

Dr. Mrs. The Monarch

oh, I so did not tell you to watch Disturbia!

I'm glad you liked Breakfast at Tiffany's though. I like the book much better though. In the book there was no "romance" because Paul was gay. Granted at the time Truman Capote couldn't write him as gay, but I think it's obvious. I read the book after I saw that episode of Seinfeld where George was in a book club and he watched the movie instead of reading the book.

I know you didn't, but if I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna have fun with it,

I'm glad you're glad I liked it :)

I don't know to which post you refer, but if you want better reviews, look up Roger Ebert, He basically says what I say only more eloquently and smaterer ;D

Tripe

Yep when Carrie-Anne Moss gets to be the matriarch of Europe's oldest and, coincidentally, trashiest royal house, then she can compete with Grace.

mrbasehart

Sure, Grace had a bit of a "reputation", but I still think she's possibly the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.

Tripe

No actually yes she was beautiful, it's not her, it's her kids, and their kids.

Actually when she died I remember I had a substitute teacher who set us the task of drawing portraits of her.  Then she went round the class complaining that we didn't make them beautiful enough.

It's worth pointing out I was about 6 at the time.

She's stunningly good-looking. And not in a "oh, well, it was the '50s" kind of way; she'd be a supermodel now too.

Well, I'd like to think she could make it as an actress too.  :)  She's good in High Noon, and deliciously flirty in To Catch a Thief.
