I like Gwyneth Paltrow.  Why do people hate her...?

I don't hate her, I just don't have the patience for the films she normally stars in.

It would be like Hugh Grant starring in a Green Lantern movie, and being great in it.

That's only an only slightly less offensive idea than Jack Black playing Green Lantern.  Or Nic Cage playing Superman for that matter.

I was never the biggest Iron Man fan, just never got around to reading those comics, missed the cartoon series entirely, so at first I didn't know what all the fuss was about.

Now I've seen this movie, I think I need to track some comics down.  This was just awesome all around.  It's not every day a movie can openly refer to a character as a "super hero" by the end and not come off completely goofy for doing so.  Great cast, well written, well shot, well directed, I want more from this creative team (from the sound of it I'm getting my wish).

Just FYI, for the last 5 years, Marvel comics has decided to turn all their smart white guys into total assholes, so I'd suggest shying away from anything newer than 2001 or 2 if you want to get to know a fun, sympathetic character.

Hmmm...
Maybe.

Anyway, Iron Man rocks!

How did I know this would end up on the next page? Go back a page if you're confused.

That really puts the ColecoVision's graphics to shame.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Just saw it last night.  Loved it.

Um...that's all I have to say right now.  Maybe I'll think of more to say later.
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

I think they did their best with Rodney. You and I and everybody and their moms know he is simply there so we know who he is come the sequel.

me neither, but how can you not like Terrence Howard?

You didn't need to read the comics to know; Do you remember the "Next time," line?

But for further reference: James Rhodes IS War Machine.

And just an awesome little pic I found while looking for a pic of War Machine:

Raven

I didn't follow the comic either, but a couple of people laughed at the "next time" line so I assumed (correctly apparently) that he donned that suit eventually.

He was sorta bland and pudgy?

For some reason I can't quite pinpoint, that's the funniest thing I've heard all day.

sarcasm_made_Easy

yeah i kinda figured (after staying after the credits) that war machine iron man nick fury and some other yutzs would all be in the supposed avengers.

Im just wondering because i saw over last weekend and i thought it was pretty cool. It probably the first really good movie based marvel character in a really really long time.

Because I love your signature, I won't immediately bring up the other thread we have on this.

But we do have another thread on this.
