I just really like Micheal Face on the Poster. That alone is making me laugh. Mike looks little to Harrison Fordesque. Sure Fordesque isnt a real word. I just made it up. You want to fight about it.

I think you made up your own form of grammar, too.  *emoticon*

Hilarious.  Should I watch the movie before I watch it with the rifftrax...?

Since no one's answered you in two threads now, I'll just do it.  I haven't seen it.  The consensus is that it's bad, but in an entertaining way.  I guess it all comes down to whether you feel like watching an amusingly bad film or just having the personal challenge of guessing what Mike and Kevin will riff on.  Of course, if anyone who's actually seen the movie has advice for two people who haven't...
Snowhead the Blue Reindeer gave me all the presents in the world.

I saw this in the theater... and come to think of it, I have no idea why. I think my in-laws told us it was good... I dunno. Anyhow, I don't remember the movie as particularly awful... just your vanilla hollywood 'nobody messes with my family' generic thriller. I would say it's more bland than bad... Apart from thinking that Harrison's 'wife' in the movie is probably younger than his kids, it didn't leave much of an impression either way.

Anyways, my rule of thumb if you've never seen the movie: NEVER watch it ahead of time if you know a rifftrax is on the way. That way not only do you enjoy a scene/character/whatever that is laughable on it's own for the first time... you get the riffs as well. Like the Love Boat, it's exciting and new. Part of the reason why I think I liked Road House so much was because I had only seen small bits and pieces of it on TNT over the last 10 years. I probably hadn't seen the entire thing in one sitting since it's original HBO run in the early 90's. It made the impact of the riffs that much more fun not really knowing where the movie was taking things.

I'm willing to watch earnest but bad movies- your Point Breaks, your Roadhouses, and your Islands of Dr. Moreau- by themselves, since however dumb or pointless they may be, they never make me violently angry at the filmmaker. But the cheap and cynical crappy ones, the Star Wars 1s, the xXxs, and the Crossroadses: I'd wound myself watching them without someone alleviating my pain with sweet, sweet humor.

I think Firewall falls into the former category for everyone but Ford, who clearly knew it was a piece of crap all along. Also, there are actually some decent performances in it (oh, Forster, Jackie Brown just didn't get enough viewers) that you'd miss with the riffing. I'd say go for it.

This makes me hopeful because of Mike's tendancy to do pairs of big-actor movies. There are a lot of keen Harrison flicks I'd like to see. :^)

Yeah this one is gonna rule....I hope they do Hostage starring Bruce Willis next...."Your my girl!!" or "Burn it!" two classically horrible lines.

This movie was ok. It didn't make me cringe but Harrison is getting a little sucky in his old age.  He's an A lister even when he does "phone it in."  I guess he's earned his spot in Hollywood so he can slack off and become senile now.  I used to like his movies a lot but lately he's disappointed me.

As for the young wife, that's basically his real life.  Didn't I read that he's dating girls young enough to be his granddaughter?  I'm supposed to be way too young to be in Harrison's dating repertoire (the Star Wars films weren't even out when I was born) but apparently I'm too old and that makes me feel icky.

I *think* I may own this (I randomly buy DVDs and sometimes don't even watch them, it's a problem and an addiction).  I'll have to dig through my stash and see.

I saw Firewall on the last night of a train ride not 2 months ago from Toronto to Vancouver.  Sure we were passing through the Rockies, but it was pitch black out and I've never seen a movie on a train before so I made my way to the club car.

That was 90 minutes of my life I'm never getting back.

I am so looking forward to seeing how Mike and Kevin will rip this crapfest a new one.

I'm sure Mike has given you very little reason to doubt him before =)

BTW - I watched a bunch of the riff for this movie already, and I really liked it haha (not to hype anything up too much)

But yes - excellent riff for a movie that is just sort of blah

Last I knew, he was dating Calista "Ally McBeal" Flockhart. While she is much younger than Ford, she's still over 40 years old.

Yeah, she's creepy for entirely different reasons.

Yeah, but they broke up a while ago didn't they? I think he was dating a 20-something after her but I could be wrong.  I just vaguely remember being squicked by it (and seems like it was more recent).  I don't stalk Harrison Ford or anything, so I could be misremembering [slowly hides her collection of Ford's used stryofoam cups and her life-sized cutout of Indy].

Someone at work loaned me this movie a couple months ago, saying it was "really good."  By that, I'm sure she meant "really boring, not even remotely believable and completely lacking in suspense."  Oh, and "featuring heinous villains who don't actually do anything particularly heinous."  I mean, come ON.  The crooks set up house with Ford's young, hot wife and hot teenage daughter...and none of them lay a hand on 'em???  And none of them smack the kid brother around when he won't shut up?  (I was sure wishing they would.)
