Just went to see it tonight.  I was very impressed.  A prime example of a director not fucking something up.  I wish Transformers would have been done as well as Iron Man.  Awesome effects and many explosions.  And action sequences you could actually see but seemed very fast paced.  And humor elements that were actually funny.  We walked into the theater as the early show was ending, not realizing that they were literally stacked on top of each other (there was about 25 seconds from the end of the stinger to the start of the adds for the late show).  So we saw the SLJ cameo before the rest of the movie.   Didn't take away from the awesomeness of it though.

Sideswipe

the only real complaint I have is the Iron Man Afganistan scene should have been longer.  I wanted to see Iron Man kick more ass.  I guess Im going to have to wait 2 years to see it though.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

So is anyone planning on seeing Incredible Hulk 2: The Do-over?  I wasn't that interested in it until I heard that Downey will be doing a cameo as Tony Stark.  Smart cross promotion on Marvel's part.  Any word if Samuel L Jackson will be in it too?

Tripe

Ok yeah the Stark apperence increased my liklihood of seeing it. Actually I like the trailer, up to the point CGI Hulk turns up.

Okay, so, here's the thing:
BLEGH BLEGH
                         Lois Lane                                                                                              Rachel Dawes
AAUUUGGHHH Hot, but BLEGH
                     Mary Jane Watson                                                                                 Betty Ross

But now:

GWENETH PALTROW HAS BECOME THE ONLY FEMALE LOVE INTEREST IN A COMIC BOOK MOVIE THAT I'M GLAD WAS IN THE FILM! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN??!!! IT'S AN AFFRONT TO ALL THAT IS RIGHT!
The woman from "Emma" and "Duet" helped make a superhero movie better. I can't deal with this.

I like Gwyneth Paltrow.  Why do people hate her...?

Tripe

Yep for once I didn't find Paltrow completely irksome and infact (aside for a short bit where the script blinked out for a minute) she was really rather good.

I do think they gave her special shoes to achieve a wiggle she doesn't have in nature.

Don't forget, she was also in Shallow Hal

I don't hate her, I just don't have the patience for the films she normally stars in.

It would be like Hugh Grant starring in a Green Lantern movie, and being great in it.

Tripe

I, for one, would pay to see that.  :)

My God...it's almost like we're on the same page my friend.  :o

On that note, I'm debating whether or not to take my niece and nephew to see Speed Racer or this movie again. I'm leaning towards another showing of Ironman since Speed Racer isn't getting very many good reviews.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Raven

Just wanted to add, that this will probably be a first day DVD purchase when it comes out.  That normally doesn't happen for the comic book movies.  I can't wait to see it again, but I'm to busy to take in a second showing at the theater.

Especially if it were a Guy Gardner GL and Hugh had to have a bowl cut.  Boss awesome!
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

Hmmm...
Maybe.

Anyway, Iron Man rocks!

How did I know this would end up on the next page? Go back a page if you're confused.

If this ever happened, no one would ever be able to actually see the movie because the film projectors would keep committing suicide.
