Quote...fill any brave soul's pants with terror.

I sure hope that isn't an erection joke.

I think it's a poop joke. Get your head out of the gutter Tarantulas.
And into the sewer with the rest of us. :^)

"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." Someone important said that. It was either Oscar Wilde or Fatboy Slim, I can't recall.

Heysie

I thought it was 70s prog rock superstars Rush who said that thing about the gutter and the stars, but just possibly they stole it. I'm totally torn on the Grudge--I probably won't be able to resist the lure of riffing, so I'll take my chances with the grossness. Some people are saying it's not too gross, others talking about balcony nosedives and missing jaws... ???

Look at the 6 pictures at the bottom and you'll see the one with the missing jaw... If you can handle it, you should be able to handle the whole movie.
In brightest day, in darkest night
No DVD shall escape their sight
Let those who tremble in bad movies light,
Beware the power, Rifftrax's might!

I grew up watching movies where alien embryos hatch out of chests and bellies get evicerated by zombies. I can deal with any movie where someone is missing a jaw. I'm looking forward to this movie. I had wanted to see it in theaters but my hubby isn't too into horror flicks so I would have had to see it alone. Good or bad, I know it's going to rock.

The Grudge really isn't gross. Plenty unnerving, but not gross. Stuff like LOTR and King Kong are grosser.

You guys should love The Grudge.  In a moment of rage the other day, I declared it the worst movie we've done yet.  I told Torgos Pizza that its the kind of movie where nothing happens, and what does happen doesn't make any sense.  The RiffTrax is very funny though, and makes the flick well worth sitting through.

MrTorso

I fell asleep the one time I tried to watch it, and I didn't even care.

I remember watching this movie and thinking, "So why is Buffy in Japan?" I mean seriously Why?  And where the hell was Willow?  I understand that Joss Whedon has creative needs to take the show to different levels but was it just me or did it seem strange that Buffy would be a caretaker for old people who slept on floors surrounded by filth?  To be quite honest, I couldn't follow it.  Well sure the homeowners duct taped a kid in the closet...who doesn't do that? But why did the kid meow?  And what was going on with all the hair?  Is hair a metaphor for something?  Is it hip? 'cause I fell out of hip in 1994 after I admited to owning a poster of 80's band El Dabarge.

Anyway, I'm positive that Mike and Kevin's riff will explain the plot a bit more but I doubt that the lingering aftertaste of Bill Pullman will never completely leave me....now if only someone could explain how an American family could possibly afford a two-story home in Japan that was on a SECLUDED PIECE OF LAND...isn't that really the scary part? ???
I am not above projectile vomiting to get my way
