I do remember seeing a couple older ladies walk out of Clerks II once the "Ass to mouth" argument started.  I just sat back with the two friends who went with me and laughed at them, obviously they had no idea what movie they were going to see.   :D  Imagine going to a Kevin Smith "New Jersey Chronicles" movie and expecting not to hear about a single disgusting sex act.  While we're at it, lets all go see the new Saw movie and expect everyone to talk out their problems without violence.

My parents DID see "Spinal Tap" thinking it was a medical thriller.    They stayed for the whole thing.   My dad loved it, my mom was just pissed it was not a Robin Cook movie.

That's what one of my roommates thought when I suggested she watch Spinal Tap.  Said she couldn't bring herself to, because she hates needles.   ;D

Sadly, no one believes me when I tell that story cuz my parents are pretty sharp cookies, but I SWEAR ON MY LIFE this is a true story.

That is what happens when you have too much time on your hands I guess.

Not only was Across the Universe the first movie I ever walked out of, but it was also the first time a movie has managed to make me fall asleep. And I had to drive an hour to get to a theater that was showing it.
