Yeah...  The good thing about even slightly older films is that they're much cheaper to pick up - Generations cost me about 4 dollars in total.  To get 300 from the States, it just cost me 35!

But with the 3 guys riffing, I'm hoping that the purchase will prove entirely worthy.

...what sort of delivery time scale are you looking at?  I looked at Amazon's priority courier (2 to 4 days) and that's 50 bucks - 25 quid!   Expedited (6 to 22 business days) is about 32 dollars.  That's actually cheaper than getting the UK version from Amazon.co.uk and you get it a month sooner, too, and the Rifftrax would be ready and compatible.... .Hmm.... On reflection, I think I'll cancel my .co.uk order and order the USA one!

I ordered mine from ebay.  I don't expect the DVD to arrive inside a week, but at least I won't have to wait months, which is probably what would've happened.

300! Then we will riff in the shade! As much as I loved this movie, I think the odd visuals are gonna make good riff-fodder. I think I will use this new idea called 'stores' and 'purchase' this DVD, thus I avoid waiting. :^)

As excited as I am about this, Blockbuster employees can't rent movies till 20 days after their release  .... though we do get to rent them the week prior to being released, but I doubt this will be out before it's release date

People seem to dig the poster JP.  It would be totally sweet if you could buy a copy of it and then get it signed by the guys.  We should organize some massive event, then arrange to have them all at it so that we could make that happen...You know, one of these days...

Oh I know -- well, we ARE selling CERTAIN posters for only FIVE DOLALRS EACH at the Comic Con.... and those posters are newly edited, updated, and expanded to 11x15 in size.... I seem to remember 300 being one of those....

I'm betting there's not going to be a PAL version of this available for quite some time, right?  The UK version of 300 doesn't come out until September 17 (which is just about eight... count 'em, eight... weeks from now), so I can't see BathTub having anything to work with!

Despite my feelings on the film, I still think the trailers are beautiful pieces of work.  Everyone I knew wanted to see the movie after watching them.
