-The obviously vacuous blonde woman with breasts the size of infants who somehow managed to get a degree in nuclear physics before she turned twenty-one.

-The villain who is reformed seconds before his death (This is a Japanese thing, I think.  Japanese filmmakers don't like to let people die unredeemed.  Not everyone was wronged by the world; sometimes people are just f#$!ing evil.  Japan must not have sociopaths.)

-The underdog, period.  Haven't we seen enough films in which the underdog wins at life that they no longer qualify as such?  As far as I'm concerned, the big, muscular, rich, powerful, handsome, popular guy is the underdog now, because he NEVER wins anymore.

-College students who obviously possess the mental capacity of brain-dead jellyfish, as they will wander into dark rooms to get naked and have sex with each other even though they are fully aware that there is a PSYCHOPATHIC KILLER ON THE LOOSE.  There's a very good chance that I am a wimp, but you couldn't get me out of my bathroom, let alone my underwear, with a machete-wielding headcase wandering around picking off my group of conveniently clichéd friends. 

I've been to college!  It's not THAT damn easy to get in!
