My latest watch was The Minion. Dolph was in fine form, as always. A bit too overclothed, as I have becone axcostomed to much more bare torso from the lummocks, but other that a fine performancemce.  Despite not seeimg Dolph's ample titties a good. Time was had. Of course, seeinh Dolph naked would have livened up the proceedings. Can't have it all ...

Hi!  I'm Randy and I'm a Riffaholic...

Terror at Tenkiller

I remember not being impressed with this one back in the day. It's even worse than I remembered. I think I see why the guys don't do too many slasher films. This was just bad in a slow and boring way. A lot of slasher films are do it by the numbers, but these are letters and out of order. Even the riffs can't save it.

Not a recommend.

The Lurker

I did get some amusement at the music sounding like it's from a video dating service at times.  Fun Fact: The actor who played Tor went on to have a fairly decent career.

Pak-Man

Over the weekend I watched Atomic Eden and The Visitor. So there was a lot of "What the heck are YOU doing in THIS?"

jgrouchy

Honor and Glory (for probably the 10th time).  The riff that gets me to crack up EVERY...SINGLE...TIME is at the end during the big fight and the villain starts swinging the chains around and Mike goes "rerrr rerr reerrrr rerrr RERRRRR I'm an airplane!".

Sounds stupid when you type it...but when you hear it it is amazing.

Iron Curtain

The Visitor

I can't tell for the life of me what the hell this movie was all about.

Iron Curtain

Aladdin. Holy cow, this was awful. It was racist (even for Disney standards), badly acted, and cheesier than quesadillas and pizzas combined!

You can see why Disney doesn't want to talk about this movie the same way they don't want to talk about Song of the South.

JP3PO

REPLICA, and then JULIE AND JACK -- both for the first time. Not movies I would watch unriffed, but the joy they get from riffing Nguyen's films is pretty infectious. Gotta love Gotzon's expressions, and the "Guy From Harlem" level of dialog-stumbling.

Dinosaurus

Been 6 years since I last watched this so I only vaguely remembered it. With that being said, the riffs were really solid but... I enjoyed the movie for what it was. Sure, it was super low budget cheese. But it was a linear plot that made sense. It was a weird perfect storm of movie being good for what it was with good riffing. An overall enjoyable experience.

And now... I need to try and find Cats. I shudder at the thought, but I received the MP3 with my kickstarter, so...

"Cats".

Oy vey.

Now, to be fair, the movie has some good individual performances and some really neat dancing by individual characters. But "Cats" is something that can never work outside of theater. It is too g-ddamn WEIRD for something as normal as a movie or TV production.  It needs to be on a stage with overly eager theater kids in grease paint. Otherwise it's like an acid trip without all the fun bits and an overdose of the hallucinatory paranoia.

I hope Francesca Hayward DOES get more work, because I genuinely enjoyed her singing and dance ability as Victoria.

BUT DEAR GOD, I cannot watch this movie without the Riff. I'd never make it thru.

Missed Riff opportunity: comparing that never-ending final song number by Judi Dench to the multiple endings in "Return of the King." Frodo went to the Grey Havens four or five times over the course of that song.

I've been catching up a lot over the last few month and particularly enjoyed:

Cannibal World (a 10 classic though I can understand why a lot will be turned off by the genre alone)
Destination Inner Space (by coincidence one of the first movies I can remember seeing in my life on TV, so I am especially fond of it)
Robert Monster
Blood of Fu Manchu
Nightwish (wtf with this movie? Seriously)
Cats (ugly but hilarious)
All 9's in IMO. Great stuff.

Just finished watching OLD, and I really love to see Shyamalan's stuff get riffed. All his directing of actors post-The Village is just wildly dreadful. I guess he's going for bad 50s B-movies, but it just comes off awful and deliciously stupid.

I loved this part particularly:

Now I'm jonesing for more. Sixth Sense has some amazing humor in it (everyone forgets that), so I may do Last Airbender next.
