Anyone else seen the version of The Hound of the Baskervilles with Tom Baker playing Holmes?

Couldn't find a clip of it, but the search did remind me of the Russian ones, anyone except Pretty (who I know has) seen those?

I did once. Unfortunately, one of those things I used to have on video that is now long gone.  Remembering it being pretty good for TV production.

And this is needed or wanted because.....?

Doctor Who?

How much you want to bet that he will play him as a complete crackhead even though Holmes only used drugs when he hadn't had a case for a long time.

Also how can you have a non british actor playing Holmes?

The same way we've had an Irish, Scottish, and Australian James Bond.

Doctor Who?

Well at least in the books Bond was half Scotish.

Presumably not the half which bought expensive things.
Thought he was on an expense account or got everything for free.

This New York Times article fills me with both dreadful apprehension and hopeful anticipation:

Is That You, Sherlock

The quote by Joel "Lowest Common Denominator' Silver is especially grating to me.
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

They already made this. It's called League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Holmes would have no part of it.
