Tony Farms AKA Puma Man

I learned that a camera these days never runs out of battery power.

Cosmic Muse

I learned that people are really stupid when in possession of any video recording device in the vicinity of a rampaging monster. They will do anything to get good footage of the creature's destruction despite outting themselves in harm's way.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

I've learned that its always the annoying person who gets to hold the camera in movies like this.

I learned that a 100 foot monster can sneak up on you.

Rattrap007

Never watch a shaky cam movie with out nausea pills and a bucket readily at hand.. Also do not eat a big meal before doing a riff of a shaky cam movie.

Tyrant

I learned that somehow, all the coolest stuff will always get filmed when it's "going down".

I know if I was trying to document the destruction of my city, it would probably be mostly 3 hours of shaky running, flashes of my feet, the camera getting dropped a lot, and a stupid low battery icon. Oh, there'd be a great soundtrack. You'd hear people screaming and explosions and monsters roaring, but you wouldn't see any of it.

I learned that monsters are really damn strong.

Junkyard

I learned that while it actually makes sense to have the slobbering, subhuman douche as the stubborn cameraman, IT MAKES THE MOVIE HARD TO WATCH! Everything in that film was shown through douche-cam! Shakey douche-cam.

I learned that it's not a good idea to help some dope find his girlfriend when a monster is attacking the city.

Trekker4747

I learned that New Yorkers are surprisingly apathetic towards a disasterous monster attack.

OmegaR!

I learned that you can survive a deadly helicopter crash only if you are a main character,
though you are still susceptible of the ever dangerous fallacy of not being observant of you surroundings,
especially if you surroundings include a 30 some odd foot high monster, right behind you....

New Yorkers are apathetic to everything.

I also learned that all 20-something kids these days are mostly douchebags who drink too much and say "dude" more than almost anyone in 1996 did.
