I learned that the lonely hansom cab horse must have been some kind of bad ass! The monster and it's dandruff/spider offsprings wanted NOTHING to do with that horse. Hell, I bet it survived the nuke!

I learned that looters of electronics stores have no interest in large flat-panel TV sets.

BassBone

Dude, Rob, man, Rob, dude, man, man, Rob, man.

spaP ooP

i learned that a monster from the sea will somehow stay on an island.

Junkyard

This I learned by the DVD's extras:
If it's just 5 seconds of home movies, it doesn't count as an alternate ending. Also, I learned you don't need to provide commentary for said 5 second alternate endings.

Indomitus

I've learned that "Blair Witch" did to horror what "Matrix" did to action movies...  ruined them forever from everyone trying to copy them.

TeamRAD

I learned that I love to make those noises the Starship Trooper's arachnoid things made, movies that are 71 minutes long rule, and it isn't much better than Ghost of Mars.
"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." - Einstein

Nick

I learned from the DVD's extras, that the thing is supposed to be only a baby! Yikes! :speechless:
Killing me won't bring back your Goddamned honey!

That's right, they're not ripping off Godzilla, they're ripping off ... GORGO!

I learned that since this monster was "just a baby" and the filmmakers wanted to depict it not being aggressive and evil but "trapped and scared" that the filmmakers have no idea how to depict emotion of any kind.

Also I learned that babies drop even smaller babies wherever they go.  They must be born pregnant, which is quite a time saver!

The smaller creatures were parasites, like lice, living on the creature that were rubbed off as it brushed against buildings.

I learned that not only do pro-sumer video cameras have seemingly endless battery life, but also have superb 5.1 surround sound-capable microphones, lights that use virtually NO battery, and night vision that ALSO uses virtually NO battery.

I learned that the U.S. Military doesn't recognize that a citizen has been savagely bitten by an unknown parasite until they actually speak up and say "I don't feel so good".

Comparing them to tribbles is funnier than your damn Vulcan logic.

The smaller creatures were parasites, like lice ...

So does that mean Cloverfield was LITERALLY a LOUSY movie? ;-)

But I kid Cloverfield ...
