WHo says sequels are bad?

FTW

Was there supposed to be a sequel that could possibly be good in there somewhere? Because, if there is...I don't see it. Did you mistakenly leave the link out of your post? ::)

Sorry you have zero taste.

no more underworld for Kate Beckinsale
QuoteIESB attended the press junket for the upcoming "Snow Angels," where actress Kate Beckinsale revealed that she will not be returning for any more "Underworld" films, at least not anytime soon. She added that she'd like to maybe one day "pull a Bruce Willis" and return to her character at 50.

The new prequel (third installment) traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian (Michael Sheen) emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Bill Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja (Rhona Mitra), in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.

"For the first time we will experience the 'Underworld' universe through the eyes of the Lycans," said creator Len Wiseman. "Patrick has always played such an essential part in helping to create 'Underworld' from the start. ... So I feel it is both exciting and fitting that (he) now takes the helm."

and Step Up 3 goes 3D!!!!
QuoteDisney will proceed with a third installment of its hit dance franchise "Step Up," tentatively titled "Step Up 3-D." Pic will become the latest 3-D live-action film from the studio, with "Step Up 2 the Streets" director Jon Chu in talks to helm.

The original "Step Up" was released in 2006 and went on to earn $114 million on a $12 million budget. "Step Up 2 the Streets" turned in a surprisingly strong $28.7 million over the five-day Presidents Day weekend and is currently at around $42 million. The picture cost only $20 million to make.

At this point there is no information on who will star in the new film or when it will be released.

I wonder if that was an awkward conversation with her husband? "Honey, I'm not going to star in any more of your crappy Vampire films."  At least Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen will provide some entertainment, and Rhona Mitra fills a catsuit nicely.   :)

The Devil and Mr. Creeper
QuoteRay Wise spoke at Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors convention in Chicago, revealing that he will be back in front of the cameras this summer on MGM's "Jeepers Creepers III." He will reprise his role of Jack Taggart Sr., while series creator, Victor Salva, will again write and direct.

"Now that the strike is over, we can finally get rolling on the new 'Jeepers Creepers'," Wise said. "Victor has written a big part for me in it."

At the Austin Fango convention, Jonathan Breck, the Creeper himself, mentioned, "My character will have to deal with Ray right at the beginning of the movie."

Salva had the following to say: "I have indeed signed to write and direct a third JEEPERS film this year. It's tentatively titled 'Jeepers Creepers 3: The Creeper Walks Among Us.' It includes a prologue in the Old West and might bring back several characters from the first two films 20 years later. The script and story will be big on scares and give us plenty more of the traditional Creeper creepiness, with a few more bits thrown in about what it might be and where it came from."

Regarding the sequel's release plans, Salva says, "The larger question right now is whether the film will get a shot at the big screen. MGM initially suggested that we go direct to video with the third in the trilogy, but we hope that the exciting entity that the new MGM is becoming realizes that both 'Jeepers Creepers' films set [then-] records for their Labor Day weekend box office openings, before each went on to make over $100 million apiece on DVD. I believe a theatrical release is critical to this kind of success on video. I don't think you can have one without the other, and it would be a shame not to be able to see what I have planned for 'Jeepers III' up on the big screen."

Pirates, cars, and a 26 year old movie, oh my
QuoteAICN received a scoop that Disney is planning several franchise installments in 2011. Some of the sequels include "Cars 2," "National Treasure 3" and "Pirates of the Caribbean 4." Plus, the rumored "Tron" movie will apparently be complete the same year and will be released in 3D.

"Cars" was made by "Pixar," the studio that has stated several times that cashing in on sequels is not what they are about. Outside of "Toy Story," Pixar has avoided any new installments to their extremely popular films. "Cars" earned over $460 million during its theatrical run, which is a no-brainer for any studio, but with Pixar being involved, I find it hard to believe that they will let themselves be bullied by Disney into a "Cars" sequel.

We've heard before that "Tron 2" was being considered. In fact, Jeff Bridges himself has confirmed the rumors. The original 1982 film revolves around a hacker, who is literally abducted into the world of a computer and forced to participate in gladiatorial games where his only chance of escape is with the help of a heroic security program.

Wait! Wait! Wait! Cars 2, Why? there's virtually nothing left to do with Lightning, I Don't understand why they won't make another Incredibles, If any Pixar movie diserves a sequal it's that, not Cars or another idiotic Toy Story movie.

I agree. Cars? Wtf?  ???

I've got two words for you . . . well, an acronym and one word: NASCAR fans. They are legion and they will go see any Cars sequel with their 10 kids.

And yes, they should definitely do an Incredibles sequel if anything.

Now I liked Cars but i have to say it is only a one off movie, there is nothing you can do with a sequel,I think Pixar may be losing their touch.

Also Everyone i know has been saying that they should do an Incredibles sequel,How can they miss that?!

I really wish someone else had purchased Pixar because it looks like they are all set to go down the toilet:(

I liked the first one. It's a good stupid action flick. Turn your mind off and watch the pretty booms . . . and bloody entrails.

I saw the second one and I remember thinking it was okay for what it was, but just not the same venue as the first.

I might give this one a rent just to see what they did with it.
