What are you talking about? Movable type is EVERYWHERE.
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

QuoteIGN recently spoke to Scott Patterson, who had a notable role in "Saw IV" as Strahm, the FBI agent who found himself trapped in a bad situation as the film ended. Patterson will be reprising that role in "Saw V" and revealed that he hadn't seen a script yet, but that production begins very soon – on March 17th -- noting that the producers are always "very secretive."

Patterson said that when it comes to getting hints on what's next in the extremely interconnected series, the actors are given some information but, "They don't give you much. And we're not really permitted to talk about it. The level of secrecy... I signed all these forms. They could take away my house if I mentioned a storyline."

Patterson is actually signed for the series through "Saw VI," though he stressed, "Well, they can kill off any character at any time – as you've seen. I'll be doing V and I'm signed for VI – but that doesn't mean I'll actually be in it or do it. It's their option."

The actor told us about the difficulties of working on the films, saying, "There's a lot of choices that can't be made because it doesn't fit into scene six of the first 'Saw' movie. A scene in one film informs the next and so on in every direction possible. And also there's things that the director knows that will be happening in V and VI that will dictate notes that he gives you on a scene. So he can't tell you much, but all he can say is, 'You really can't make that choice because it won't fly in VI... and then they'll have to rewrite VI...' It does get a little confusing at times. But as long as you don't knock over the furniture and slip on the blood, you're OK."

WHo says sequels are bad?

Was there supposed to be a sequel that could possibly be good in there somewhere? Because, if there is...I don't see it. Did you mistakenly leave the link out of your post? ::)

Yep . . . I saw Kung Pow and was not impressed. A lot of infantile humor and annoying voices. I love a silly dubbed "chop socky" flick, but that guy just went way over the top.

I heard they're working on a sequel to Jaws 3-D.

Who's in the mood for Prequels
QuoteThe producers of the Emmy-winning series, "24," are developing a two-hour "prequel" to the upcoming seventh season. The movie, designed to bridge the two-year gap between Seasons 6 and 7, is targeted to air in the fall, leading to the January return of the real-time drama. On Wednesday, "24" producers began securing the show's core cast members for the film.

"24" was one of the biggest casualties of the writers strike. Three days into the work stoppage, Fox decided against airing a partial season of the serialized drama with the eight episodes produced before and during the first weeks of the strike.

Each season of "24" is a closed arc that takes place in real time over a 24-hour period. The upcoming seventh season is set in Washington and features the first female US president, played by Cherry Jones.

At the end of the writers strike, there were rumblings about a possible split of the seventh season into two parts to air in the fall and in midseason. But Fox was quick to put those rumors to rest, reiterating that the show's scheduling pattern will remain intact with a January launch.

The "24" writing team is back at work, with filming on the remaining episodes of the seventh season slated to begin in April.

To me, Kung Pow was about 1/3rd funny, 2/3rds not funny.  Bu the funny parts really had me rolling.

My favorite scene was "the beatdown":

Okay, that was actually funny. But that may be because they were beating the crap out of the "auteur" of the movie. All I can remember is kung fu cows and one-breasted women. And annoying voice work.

Kung Pao is a party movie.  Sometimes you need some support to get through the horrible parts, but there truly are gem moments as well.  Like a comedic roller coaster.

Who's in the mood for spinoff thingies
QuoteNick D'Urso, the manager of Satin Dolls - the strip club known as Bada Bing on "The Sopranos" - was planning to renovate the building when the show wrapped. But now, he might have to hold off on his plans, since "The Sopranos" are planning to return for a feature film.

"I got an inside tip that they're going to do a movie, so I don't want to make any major changes," D'Urso said Wednesday. "I'm not going to reveal my sources, but we got a call from somebody (working) on the script."

The manager said that blueprints had already been drawn up for major changes to the interior of the building, but after he received the call, he will not take any chances. "If we remodeled it, they could always spend the money to recreate it the way they want to, but why bother?" D'Urso said.

The Emmy-winning series cut to black in June after 86 episodes, making it one of the most anticlimactic series finales ever. Such a big disappointment led many fans to a conclusion that a movie was being planned. Stay tuned.
