My friends that I saw it with said they liked everything up till the weird alien ending. I lost a lot of respect for them for that. What the fuck did you think that skull was? I pointed out the 51 on the door as we were watching... Although I did know all about the elongated skull people and the crazy theories surrounding them while my friends didn't but still.

No I understand that but see the Ark in Raiders looks not unlike other representations of the ark, the Stones in Temple look essentially like the stones they're based on and the Grail in Crusade. both the fake ones and the actual one, are essentially true to how the grail is depicted and what it really would have looked like.
