Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - SPOILERS HERE

I'm just going to tweak the post from the Endgame spoiler thread from earlier this year:

This is the thread for people who have seen Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and want to discuss it with others who have also seen it. Or for people who don't care about spoilers. The early screenings start tomorrow evening, but I'm posting this today for those people who click a new thread without reading the topic first. This is your chance to remind yourself not to click this thread again until you've seen it. There are no spoilers in this first post. You're safe here. But beyond this point is a sea of posts that may contain spoilers. Here are some images that should take up a lot of space so that you don't see any spoilers if you find yourself here by accident:

I saw the original back in 1977 and here we are at long last.  Epic.  I wondered if I'd live long enough to see the entire saga. 

Loved the final movie.  Great sendoff.  Very satisfied.

My favorite parts were Han Solo which made me cry, the Romeo & Juliet ending which also made me cry, and the very ending when Rey says "Skywalker" which totally made me cry.

..and I cried when Chebacca broke down about Leia, I teared up when Luke summoned the X-Wing, I teared up when Rey got Leia's lightsaber, I teared up when Emperor Trump oops I mean Palpatine's eyes glowed yellow, I teared up when Rey summoned the power of all the Jedi and overcame the Sith, I teared up when Threepio looked at his friends for last time, I teared up when Rey healed Kylo on the ocean planet...yeah I was a mess.  This dramatic power meant so much more to me than lasers or spaceships, as opposed to when I was a kid.

You know, there was also the part where Finn says to whatserface that they had a "feeling" that caused them to disobey orders and drop their blasters.  I smell a setup for a spinoff movie about Finn and whatserface with Lando.[/spoiler]

He had one line. Or maybe that was just someone from his species. It's when they were all standing in a circle talking about tactics. I forget what he said because I was too busy saying "Did I just see Dominic Monahan!?"

hahaha!  Yeah I was thinking wow Star Wars and LOTR, not bad.

So I missed Nien Nunb.  They really had the whole kitchen sink in there didn't they?  No Yoda though BTW, except his voice.  Or did I miss him too?

Ah, in regards to that particular character...You could hear his voice when all the Jedi were talking to Rey. I think you could hear Obi-Wan, Qui-Gonn, Mace, Yoda, Luke, pretty much every Jedi from all the movies talking to her.

I was really shaken by Chewie dying. I should have seen the twist coming, but man, that affected me for the rest of the movie. I don't know if it was because it was Rey's doing?  Or if it was because he died in handcuffs? I don't know. But when he got his medal at the end, I was a puddle.
