I do think that a longer director's cut would make a better movie. So that everything doesn't feel as rushed and some of the dropped plotlines could be completed.

finn and poe were supposed to be together. i mean, i'm usually pretty oblivious when someone's giving the signs, but come on:

dF = 0
d*F = J

Random thought about watching it last night:  Every time Carrie Fisher was on screen I felt sad, knowing every scene with her was cutting room floor footage or a double made me too aware of the fact that she is gone.  Not sure if I would have felt differently if they had done the computer generated face thing...

This bit of info makes one short scene make a bit more sense:

Really? I thought he was just being smooth and trying to hook up with her. It is Billy Dee Williams after all.

I just got back and... it was fine? That's about it.  I don't have a lot of complaints about it.  I don't care for walking back some Last Jedi stuff but it didn't feel like some big rebuke as some clickbait articles trying to stir shit make it seem.  My biggest complaint is actually a pretty minor one.

So basically, perfectly watchable with some occassionally cool stuff but not much more than that for me.

I thought it was really bad, 3-4 days later and I'm still shocked about just how lazy, uninspired and dull it was.

Can't help but feel after the manbabies threw their tantrum over TLJ trying something different for the first time since Empire, JJ got scared and went super safe with a remake of Return of the Jedi
