I prefer my version. There's just not enough tough-guy-drag in superhero movies these days.

Doctor Who?

So, on the Iron Man 2 front, the IMDB states that Mickey Rourke will play the Russian villain Whiplash. Which will really be impressive, since... well, I'll just let the picture speak for itself...

Oh, and according to Wikipedia, she was born in Wilmington, Delaware, which I'm guessing is near Kyrgyzstan?

There is an Iron Man villain from Delaware?

Er, I wouldn't mind seeing ScarJo with a sniper rifle. I'm sure I DON'T know what she can do in the movie, but it's not like she can create a more gaping hole of a character than Gwyneth Paltrow did. Plus she will be in form fitting black leather.

But don't you know that once you make a good superhero movie that you have to hire several big name stars to load it up with as many bad guys as you can think of?  They'll all need their equal time on screen and forced "tag lines" so they can water down the movies and load them up with product placement to cover their obnoxious salaries.

All so that the franchise becomes a self-parody and dies an early death?

Is there some unwritten rule that every superhero sequel must feature two bad guys? Batman Returns, Spider-man 2, Fantastic Four 2, The Dark Knight... and now Iron Man 2. Strange.

Wait. What two bad guys did Spider-Man 2 feature?

Wait. What two bad guys did Spider-Man 2 feature?

Yeah, I only remember one - Doc Ock.  Unless you count Harry, maybe.  But I don't count Harry.

Wasn't Mary Jane a villain in that one?

Men in Black 2 didn't have two villains.

DarthChimay

Superman 2 didn't have two villains.

It had three. So, technically I'm right.

The villain had an notable henchmen (and then there's that collection of thugs and that one saucer dude), do they count?

It had 4, didn't it? Zod, Non, Ursa, and Luthor.

Whoa, buddy. No one said I had be able to count in order to be on this board. You can't go changin' the rules on me all willy-nilly.
