Ah, but did it rock as hard as the Menacer?!?

I'd be happy if they stopped having Kevin riff stuff.
I just recently saw the Star Trek V rifftrax and was quite disappointed.
Kevin just came off as angry and hateful (and really offensive in parts) instead of goofy and fun like Mike and Bill.
I was surprised at how unfunny most of his comments were since I always enjoyed Tom Servo on MST3K a bit more than Crow.  When I want to sit down and have a good laugh, I simply prefer harmless insults (such as Mike making fun of Patrick Swayze's shirtlessness or good actors losing dignity from being in X-Men) over Kevin Murphy cursing people and calling for the deaths of cast members.

The X-Men rifftrax, on the other hand, was hilarious and as fun and enjoyable as I had hoped it would be.
I was very pleased to see that Bill was much funnier than I ever gave him credit for with MST3K.
(I haven't gotten to Top Gun yet, unfortunately)
I say get Bill and Trace (or Frank Conniff) to riff with Mike instead of any more Kevin.

ST:V has been my favorite track simply BECAUSE of Kevin. I do agree his style is more caustic and angry, but I actually quite like that. The reason I prefer Mike era MST3K is I think they got away from the absolute silliness and goofiness of the Joel era in the riffing. It seemed to get a little meaner and more biting, and I am a fan of that. I thought Kevin complemented Mike really nicely on the track, and I liked the rapport they had.

Kevin, I love you, man!

That's why I prefer Bill to Trace as Crow.  He could be unrelenting in his damning of a movie.  Hilarious!

I wouldn't change a thing.  Kevin Murphy's riffing in Star Trek V made me laugh my ass off!

Exactly how i feel. I loved how much more bitter and sarcastic he became when Bill took over, was brilliant...

Ah, but I had a Menacer also but the Menacer was for the Genesis not the NES!

I loooove video games.

I know.  I was just comparing odd peripherals with each other.  I had a Menacer too, actually.   ;D  I think Terminator 2 was the best game I had for it.  It was rock hard.

But then, I suck at computer games.  Except for point-and-clicks and reaaallly long RPG's.

How about Silver Surfer on the NES...

Talk about a test of patience...

SaucyRossy

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES was sooooo hard and annoying to play. It wasn't even sastifiying if you actually beat a level.
Watch this for proof.

Say what you will about the PowerGlove, but I'm really looking forward to playing with my Wii this November.

Is that what they're calling it these days? Playing with your Wii?   ???

SaucyRossy

Wii all play with our Wii coming this November. You should play with the Wii too! Everyone will be doing it. The only thing I am worried about is straing my right hand/wrist from to much playing. But over time I imagine it will only strengthen.

I paid big bucks for the TMNT turtle game back in the day... I remember fighting the technodome and it was like the same size as the turtle... heh

Since you apparently missed the memo, the Wii is the new Nintendo console due out in November.

Right at this very moment, the girl at my local Gamestop is holding my Wii for me.  But I'm expecting to spend a whole lot of time playing with my Wii once they release it.  It's small, plastic, and sort of cheap looking, so I really hope it can stand up to some abuse; I'm pretty hardcore, so I'm expecting my Wii to get banged up a bit.

How do you control your Wii, you ask?  Basically, there's a long, skinny part that you grip tightly in one hand, and you twist it and shake it and wiggle it around.  There's also another thing that dangles beneath the shaft, which you cradle in your other hand and manipulate gently with your thumb.  If you really want to get the most out of a Wii, you have to have very strong wrists.

And yet, as simple as a Wii is to manipulate, my wife will want nothing to do with it -- as usual.  :(
