Hello to all,

I was just wondering, if the kickstarter actually works and Summit gives in, will this live riff have new jokes? Don't get me wrong, I would be content with just a live version of the current Twilight riff, but having new jokes would be wonderful. For one thing, I wouldn't be laughing before the jokes are said (I can't tell you how many times I have seen the twilight riff. It's too embarrasing).

Just a thought...

Their Kickstarter page has a FAQ that answers your question.  It'll be a mix of new material and the old standards, as they've done with previous Live Rifftrax of movies they've already done.
Buy P.S.Productions' iRiffs.  NOW AVAILABLE:

Yeah, it seemed like Birdemic was at least 1/4 new jokes.

So if you can't get the rights, do the people who donated get their money back?

FAQ on the page addresses this. They're still going to try to license a movie from the Worst Movies Ever list, and failing that they'll use the money to put on the best damn show they can, with guest stars and huge production values.
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.

In that case, a Troll 2 live event could be pretty entertaining.

Johnny LaRue would be pleased.

As others note, no. Plus Kickstarter will note that it's between you and the person whom you give money to whether or not you get your stuff. If the boys decide to throw away all the goodwill they've ever accumulated and simply spend the money on bacon and booze and then record a video laughing at you, well, sucks to be you.

YOU TAKE THAT BACK

(Actually, I could completely see them make a few jokes along that line, no matter what gets riffed.)

For someone like me, the only parts of seen of Twilight riffed is the "best of" videos on Youtube.  I know there's others like me who haven't seen it.

My computer takes forever to download and I'm waiting to get a new one.  Maybe with my tax money?  But knowing my luck something else will break down, and I'll have to get it fixed.

Now, what I would love, if they did the riff live near me, I'd be willing to travel.  Come on guys, come to Charlotte North Carolina!  It's a bit over 200 miles each way trip for me.

It'll be in Nashville again. They mention that somewhere on the page.

Should be noted no one has been charged anything yet. I assume since they've more than surpassed their goal talks have already begun. "Presumably" they'll have final details by the end of March (when the Kickstarter ends) at which point they can either take the money (then people will be charged) or presumably not take it and no one is charged.  If they don't get Twilight I suspect they'll easily get anything else.  Hell, again, if they go down to The Room I doubt Wiseau will turn down nearly $200,000 for these guys to riff on it.

Pak-Man

Yeah, Kickstarter never charges until the donation period is over. It's in case the kickstarter gets cold feet and wants to bail on the whole thing.

goflyblind

not take the money? ??? they've met their goal. by kickstarter's terms, the project will be funded, and our money will be taken. if they can't get anything on their list, then it's up to rifftrax to pay us back.
