I can say that I went with both my roommates.  One had read the book and the other hadn't, and they both seemed to enjoy it about the same amount.

I was also there, and the roommate that hadn't read it wasn't confused, but I tend to agree with Steve-O. Adrian was pretty obviously the bad guy, but that seemed true in the graphic novel as well.

Considering one of the overriding themes of the story is moral choices and ambiguity, to even call any of the characters "good" or "bad" is against the point.

That is SO what I said to Junkyard, well not in so many words. Although, since I completely disagree with what Adrian did, I  personally believe he is the bad guy.  That's my interpretation and I'm sticking to it.

Hell, Kelly Leak alone is worth the price of admission. Which, by the way, was 11 FUCKING DOLLARS!  No wonder nobody goes to the movies anymore.

Business at my theater has been great.  But then again our admission price is $1.75.  ;D

He's the Villain and the Hero.  Just like the Comedian was a hero and a villain.  Depending on your perspective.

It was mainly Dr. M, but Comedian was on the ground doing the dirtier work.

I said helped.  Plus he was pretty much a martyr for the truth, so if you wanna call Rorshach the hero, then you gotta call The Comedian a hero.

These from The Gun Show:

The last one is my favorite, as it's the only Watchemen parody comic I've seen recently that didn't involve Manhattan's genitals.

There is no fucking hero.  I thought that was the whole point of the book.  No one should get to be god.  No one gets to decide right and wrong and dispense justice, because everyone is dirty.  Moral ambiguity.  But what the fuck do I know.

It just all depends on your point of view. End justifies means and such.

I don't think any answers were supposed to be given to the reader. I think that was more the point, in the end.

Harry has a review up of Under the Hood and The Black Freighter. I had somehow got the impression that Under the Hood was also animated, and the Black Freighter was longer, but either way these sound like decent additions and I do hope they are extras on the big BluRay Directors Cut that we all know must be coming.
