What is the worst movie ever made?

Ah, good that Biodome and Senseless were brought up...I think, overall, bad comedy tends to be much more harshly judged than any other genre.  I think it's one thing when a movie fails to deliver on the promise of thrills, excitement, and what have you...when it tries to make you laugh and fails, they tend to draw wrath.  And oh, boy, are there movies that failed to make me laugh...

Note that I sat through Chairman of the Board, but Dudley Do-Right was the only time I ever rented a new release from the video store, watched for ten minutes, and returned that day.  I know friends who walked out of Me, Myself, and Irene (which I actually liked), but Freddy Got Fingered came close to all of us walking out of the theater.

But, I think the ones I also end up not liking are films that I was really hoping to like and ended up being massively disappointed.  Like this indy film I bought at the Motor City Comicon last year...

Yes, that's Matt Busch the artist.  He made a movie.  Shot on videotape.  With himself and his girlfriend.  They are not actors or cinematographers or screenwriters.  It shows.  It shows horribly.
One Man Band Riffs.  18 riffs, over 600 served, since 2009.

And spelling the word "laff" incorrectly also
No "laff" is like "creme"; it's vaguely similar in texture to the other substace while really being utterly unlike it.

'You'll laff your head off at Michael Richards MLK Day address".

Of course the gut reaction is to go right for Birdemic, with its ham-handed message odd special effects choices and baffling acting, but it did that on a shoestring budget. Tommy Wiseau had 6 MILLION DOLLARS with which to bring us The Room, and it STILL turned out that way.

I guess maybe Birdemic is worse, but The Room has less of an excuse.

That and the fact that they give me a headache is the reason I can't stand the Transformers movies.  Bay had all the money and time in the world to make them and a decent cast to fall back on and they still turned out painfully bad.

Probably the Garbage Pail kids movie. It's stupid, it's disgusting, and it's so
damn depressing and talk about movies with screwed up messages.

As usual, the right answer is the boring one:

It's a little difficult to put into words how full of fail this movie is. It is almost awe-inspiring in its failures, in such a way that you can picture a dog with a video camera making a better movie (and there's no hyperbole in that sentence). This summary does some justice to explaining how awful it is (and uses laughter to heal some of the pain), but even that doesn't quite cut it. With this movie (and I actually feel it's a bit much to call it that), I am slightly annoyed imdb doesn't let you rate lower than a 1.

Seconded. I didn't have a problem with it being disgusting, because that was entirely appropriate since it was based on the cards. But what was completely innaprorpriate was to include a major plot about 80S FASHION! WTF?! Why would you put a sideplot about something girly like that, when the hole point of the cards was being anti-girly!

Fan of the cinema snob huh?  :D

I never saw this whole movie, but what I saw in Snob's review was actually kinda funny I thought. I can't
speak for the rest though.

I think I was also bothered that this was supposed to be a kids movie... that totally should not
have ever been for kids. I mean Jesus it's right there in the title... but then again you have other
movies like the PG-13 rated Swing kids... or the NC-17 rated Kids.... okay, nevermind then, very
bad example.

I'm not, in that I've actually never watched any of his stuff (though you aren't the first to assume I was a fan of his anyway :P). I first heard about it from that site I linked, and watched it when I went through a (very, very brief) period where I combed around Netflix trying to find some really bad movies and see if they really were, in fact, that bad.

They were.

Especially that on.

Seriously, I can't emphasize it enough. It's so crazy bad that it loops all the way around so-bad-it's-good and down into the dank, forbidden territories that is just-plain-awful.

You should watch his stuff, he is pretty funny, yet quite vociferous. But he's got a great theme song.

Compound

(shakes head) Here's ten.

I could have filled this list with nothing but zombie films. Or just Troma or Asylum titles.

And as a side note, looking over the bottom 100 IMDB list, I seem to own 32 of those.

Bob

I have watched SO many bad horror movies in my quest to find unique movies, it is not funny.

Yes, "Ass-Wang".......Fillipino vampires, yet the movie takes place in the US so all they borrowed was the cool name.   Dreadfully dull.

The worst film ever made is the one I wrote and directed when I was 17 in college.  It's called The Beast and I still have it somewhere on VHS.

No, you can't see it.
