The night I went to saw Episode 1 (opening night at midnight), a squirrel decided to jump into the power transformer of the minimall the theater was at knocking out power right at the beginging of the pod race scene.

It was almost like someone was trying to tell me something.

This isn't really considered by any means a "worst" moment in theaters, but it really shows how pathetic people are.

Like I said earlier, I usually sit near the top.  So before the movie starts they run this really cheesy clip that seems like it was made in the early 80s telling people to look for the exits at the front and rear of the theater.  Without fail, at every movie I've been to over the last 18 months to 2 years they've been running this clip, there's some dumbass that thinks it's funny to pretend to act like a flight attendant and start pointing all over the place.  About half the time they'll even start pointing and crossing their arms to take the stupidity up a notch.  And of course they do it while looking at their friends expecting a laugh and they just look at him wondering wtf they're doing.

And none of these stories would have happened if my 1984 dream comes true.  In my beautiful apocolypse stupid people will be euthenized, people will require goverment permission to have children in the same they need permission to drive a car.  Ah beautiful dream.

That's something I can picture Michael Scott doing!

The last couple of years have seen kids way to young in movie with parents. I saw Devil's Rejects opening weekend and there was a 5 year old kid sitting next to me. EVERYTIME there was an exposed breast or nudity the mom's hand went right up to the kid's eyes. Whenever there was a scene of blood curdling violence the kid was watching. By the end of the movie the kid was in a trembling ball on his mom's lap. At the opening weekend of Jackass 2 I had the pleasure of having a 8 or year old girl sitting next to me. She was all cute in her Sunday dress, her hair in pigtails nice shoes. The first skit of Jackass 2 involves Pontius' costumed penis being bitten by a snake. I really can't believe parents these days.

Parents?  What's that word mean?

Oh, you mean PARENTING, that old worthless relic of the 20th Century.  Meh, too difficult, takes too much time, sez I. ::)

This is part of the reason why I don't go to theaters any more (the other part is the cost of the tickets).

With home entertainment being so much better now and more comfortable, it makes no sense (in my mind) to go to a theater, pay too much for tickets and have to put up with people yappin over the movie.

I just found this thread and thought this sentence was funny.  Now you go home and actually pay $2.99 a pop to hear people yap over the movie.  It gave me a chuckle.

Yeah and people in the theaters arent a problem, you can just punch out any annoying children being loud.

Oh Sarcasm, can I please live in your beautiful dream? Additionally, I'm thinking bratty children need to be enslaved as a government work force. Only bratty ones. Nice ones get to live at home with their parents.

Yeah that would work espcially since we arent allowed to spank for whatever reason, so working in coal mines seems to be the next logical step.

  Especially if whips are involved.

That's how bad teens need to be straightened out. Not with boot camps or whatever, but with hardcore coal mining. That'll learn 'em!!!

sarcasm_made_Easy

Oh there is nothing that good ol 1940s marines boot camp cant straighten out.  But then we do need to think of the economy ;)

Indeed. Why waste a hardworking drill sergeant's time?

Besides, Black Lung Disease builds a lifetime of character!

you know of course joining the military was just the first step in my road to world domination
