As long as there's no wacky montage of Captain America trying to figure out an iPod or turning on a radio and recoiling in disgust, I'll be happy.  Or maybe I just described the film's second act?

Yeah, we've got Austin Powers for that.

Almost certainly will happen  :-[

And me as well most of the time.  i can't stand most modern music. :D

With you.  I had to buy a new car recently, as I turned on my radio and heard that Kesha song that starts "Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy".  Upon hearing it, I drove my car into a ditch and set it on fire, quietly whispering "You'll never hurt me again."

I may have overreacted.

My favorite line of that song is "We kick them to the curb unless they look like Mick Jagger." You do? Like... Mick Jagger now?

Chicks dig guys who look like melting candles, I guess.

That sounds like a normal reaction to me.  It's what I would have done.

I don't believe I've ever heard this "song."  ;D

Some of us didn't think much of him when he was young, either.

Tripe

Yeah he's not like Bob Plant, now that was a pretty man once long long ago.

I think I left a few longs off there.

Darth Geek

Wasn't that part of Harley Mom's description in Feast?

Occasionally Cap does get fed up with politics and leaves his role...during Watergate, he called himself "Nomad", for instance.  I'm glad the movie is coming out now, rather then in the Bush years, because I get the feeling that the film would have been too cynical if it came out then.  Don't believe me?  Read The Ultimates volume 1 and then tell me otherwise.

I think having him defrosted in the Avengers movie will mean 'Capt acts like somebody's grampa' stuff is kept to a minimum if only because of time constraints.

I really like Ultimates Capt, I remember hearing they were planning something possibly even darker back in 2001 but September 11 pretty much put a stop to that.

This a Koyobikuya statue based on Bryan Hitch's art in the Captain America: Reborn miniseries and not representative of the movie costume, but I love the half helmet/half cowl design and hope for something similarly '40s-ish in the film:

Spoiler
Nice caboose, Cap.

I remember Billy Zane as the Phantom, but who did Alec Baldwin play?
