It's called "the dark".

I loved the reenactment of what the scene would be like, with Kevin just mumbling. Very much a Tom Servo moment.

It's Jay Leno doing his talk show from home, a year from now.

And provided it can't jump or has a medium sized stride, we WILL catch it!

P.S. Why no ET or Gremlins riffs for the footprints in the powder?

Yeah, I loved that line, too.

ShadowDog

A lot of my favorites have already been mentioned, so I'll go with "if you listen carefully you can actually hear his balls crawling up into his body" or however it went.  LMFAO

Here's something I didn't get.  I know they're trying to be funny, not logical.  But why did they keep harping at the calling the police option?  "Um, yeah, 911?  We have a ghost and/or demon in our house."  I mean, really, what the hell can the police do?  Even if you play it off as an intruder, they come to your house, they find nothing, and then they leave.  Am I missing something here that would have made the police a real option or am I just reading too much into a series of riffs?

I think this could be a contender for best opening line of all time:

"Wait. This is a movie?"

As the psychic looks into the camera perturbed,"The expression Micah sees the most..."*

*Or something to that effect. I was laughing too hard to hear it accurately.

Yeah, that one was good.

I need to watch this RT again, there were a lot of good lines in it.

Trekker4747

Watching it again, some lines that jumped out at me:

"She doesn't look like someone who owns a home trout lure business."

"How many scarves being nit any given night in San Diego?"

:Kevin mumbles incoherently for a couple minutes, Mike and Crow, er, Bill cut him off.  Don't know why but it has me rolling. It's sort of like that humor-picture of a guy imitating a racecar and you see how long you watch it without laughing.

"By the way, COIN NET!"

:the psychic gives Micha the very definition of a "WTF is this guy's problem look": "Micha's used to that look."

"Patronizing smiles. The only kind Micha can hope for."

"The script here said: Micha contines to taunt while girlfriend drops a deuce."

...

Ok. I can't go on. There's too many.  This was a great Riff!

Because it would be a proactive action, unlike what the pair was actually doing. Personally, I was yelling at the pair for investigating strange noises in their house without ever bothering to turn the lights on.

ShadowDog

Yeah, that was stupid.

But a bigger problem I had, and this is why I hate POV camera movies because this is an inherent problem with the subgenre, all the times the camera was used when there's no way a person would actually use it.  Well, okay, let me put it this way, if your girlfriend has vanished from your bedroom in the middle of the night and isn't answering your calls, and you take the time and trouble to bring along your camera, you're a flatout socipath.  There were a half dozen cases of this in the movie, most commented on by Mike and Co.  It just doesn't work, and you see this in every one of these things.  Quarentine, Cloverfield, this one, the horror/fantasy TV shows that do an episode of this.  Unless it's a war movie and the camera guy is an embedded trained journalist, there's always going to be a point where the camera shouldn't be on.  And if it is, as I said, the cameraguy is a socipath and needs to be locked up.

The only way I think it could work as a genre is if they were helmet mounted cameras used by a bunch of explorers investigating a haunted ship or crashed alien vessel or something.  With more than one camera you have an in story reason to be able to edit back and forth.  And with it mounted it's not taking up one hand and the people can even forget it's on.  That could work.  Otherwise, I don't see how.
