Bob basically says "turn off your head and remember the days of playing with the toys". Interesting . . .
Then they should have had Robot Chicken make the movie. Now THAT would have been awesome.

Did you not see Team America?
Fuck yeah!

Edit: missed it by THAT much.

Well, I think I'm deaf now.  Man was that movie LOUD.  And especially loud for a 10 AM show.

I did see a commercial for Rifftrax Live before it though!

Nergol

Oh, and am I the only one who thought that the redhead dye job on Rachel Nichols' Scarlett was horrendous?

Tripe

I'm sorry I had my head in my hands for most of it I didn't get a chance to scrutinize her dye job.

When I did take a closer look at her I didn't notice too much really.

So basically GI Joe: Rise of Cobra is basically Stephen Sommers circa the Mummy movies? I suppose I could get into some tongue in cheek, cheesy fun.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

ScottotD

Cheesy fun, much like Stephen Sommers other's movies

- how I read any complaint about MST3k (or Star Wars or Ghostbusters)

Serves me right for seeing it right after I woke up.

I didn't know they had screenings at 6 am.

Get off my screen!
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

I think it was this thread, and I'm probably jumping into the debate a little late in the game, but I'd read comments about Joseph Gordon-Levitt  as Cobra Commander and it got m thinking of what actor would have been a better choice. I mean, it's not like Cobra Commander has ever been portrayed as the essence of Macho Masculinity™ anyways.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Well Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a really good actor, so that would have helped a lot.

I just can't help but think of the late Chris Latta's Cobra Commander from the cartoon. You know, the bumbling, incompetent, weaselly voiced figurehead. COBRA really was the most inept terrorist group, held together mostly by Destro, but that was half the organization's charm in the cartoon. You wanted to see how C.C. and his incompetence would fail brilliantly.
