It was always my dream to write for Michael Nelson, I'm glad I got it for but a moment.

If they did write that one themselves, it would be an amazing coincidence.

I kinda wish Kevin would'a sang more. Telling a joke is one thing, sing a joke and your halfway to a laugh.

"Allow me to gesture after I have finished my sentence"

The finger wiggle always freaked me out.  Did no one catch this?  Ok,maybe on the original but Lucas went through it again and tweaked everything in sight and yet...... there is the finger wiggle after the sentence is finished.

Or the dent in C3PO's head that switches from the top left to the top right depending on the shot.

Or the shot that shows R5 next to R2D2 even though he's supposed to be with Luke about 20 yards away.

Yeah, they should have riffed all those flubs... and then wrote polite letters to their wives, informing them they could have never have sex with women again.

I think it would have been kinda neat in a geeky way to have a running joke with one of the guys (probably Bill) actually being a closet SW geek.  That way every so often they could write a really Deep Nerding riff about a shot flip or continuity flub or start to babble about what items the various props were sourced/built on, and the other two could pile on with a "shut up" kind of joke so it doesn't get out of hand.

I dunno, that's what I would have tried, but maybe that's a lot of effort to get twelve guys who know why there's a dearth of vintage Graflex camera flash handles these days, to laugh.

I bet Porkins would have laughed though.

Or have an "impassioned" debate on whether or not Luke really yells "Carrie!" when he climbs down from his X-wing after blowing up the Death Star.

One of my own favorite riffs was when Ben was inspecting the Jawa's transport wreckage and made the remark about the accuracy of imperial troopers, and one of the guys quipped, "Except when shooting at people."  I've probably either chuckled or said something similar at that point almost every time I see the film.

I also liked the "Jawa/Jabba" bit, and the prequel references like "I stood by your mother when she died," "Remember, folks, these two have been going at it since before Luke was born", and the occasional, exasperated "but you can fly!" comments tossed R2's way.

For me, the line "Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise" has become a joke in itself, used more often than I'd care to admit.

In all making-sense-of-it fairness, Ben Kenobi had lived in a shack in the middle of the desert for the past 18 years and only knew Stormtroopers when they were his trusted companions and clones of an all-but-total badass bounty hunter. Compared to the only people he's seen in the past two decades, the savage Injun stereotype Sand People, he assumed only stormtroopers would be precise enough to blast a Jawa transport. I mean, Tattooine is like the Appalachians of Star Wars. Chances are if anything happens there that isn't totally ass backwards, it must have been the Empire. And what is the Empire if not Stormtroopers.

Not Lucas-approved, but a reasonable explanation even for the serious doubter.

Can I borrow some of that backfill?  I'd like to do some landscaping.   ;D

Porkins had me rolling around the floor desperately groping for air and worried that I was about to pass out. My vision was starting to go dark. Tears were streaming down my face.

LUCAS NAMED ME PORKINS!

Honourable mention to Kit Fisto, mind you.

Hmmm... never really thought of it that way. I'm not always the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I know what I like, and I like this.
