Star Wars!.....for fuck's sake.

I've always thought Jedi was overrated.  Not that it wasn't good, just not as good as most people say.  It's the weakest of the original trilogy, IMO.

Oh... and E.T.  It's a cute kiddie movie, sure, but it put me to sleep.

The Dark Knight.

A good movie? Absolutely.

A great movie? I'm gonna say yes.

The best movie ever? Goodness no.

Are you sure? Absolutely, without a doubt.

Is it close? Not especially.

But it's still great? Sure, I definitely think it's a great movie. Maybe at the mid-to-upper-mid levels of greatness, but still great.

Oscar worthy? Maybe a nomination or two.

Ok, I'll let off you a little. Only the OT is worth anything as far as Star Wars goes, and people who worship the whole thing, i.e. people who have "Jedi weddings" and such are truly touched in the head.

Actually I'll back you up on this one. I thought the whole experience of The Dark Knight and the Nolan Batman movies in general suffered from whoever it is on the writing team that shits his pants and goes insane whenever it's time to write a gadget into the script.

Sounds about right. That and sub-plot characters tend to disappear without warning (like that Chinese guy. Whatever happened to him?)

Still, great movie, if one that's started to suffer from over-hype (one thing that really matters to a film is how history will judge it, and five, ten years from now, will people look back on this and still think so highly of it?)

Yeah him (are we still concerned about spoilers with this movie?). He was last seen tied up on top, and then... nothing. Not even a shot of him after it's set on fire or a mention of him. He's just gone. Sure, it gives an indication of what probably happened to him, but nothing more. Pretty much the same thing with Reese; he was there, then he's taken away from the accident and... nothing, no mention of him for the rest of the movie.
