The "Really Cool Girl" Is Back! (And Everything Buffy Season 8)

[TeamRAD]

There's an odd flatness in the delivery, but it's pretty interesting.

Harth looks really good though.

But man, did someone slip Harth a Lunesta or something?

3 days!

[mearnest]

I just finished Wolves at the Gate.  I'll definitely be picking up ToYL this weekend since I don't think I have the patience to wait for the compilation to come out.

[TeamRAD]

Stupid Dark Horse, it's now being released next Wednesday.

*shakes head*

But on a positive note, has anyone seen Book 20's cover yet? This one I had to see...

Spoiler

How awesome is that?

[gbeenie]

Sweet!

[Tripe]

But the next issue has the most adorable cover evah!

Spoiler

[TeamRAD]

Wait, wait, wait...

Is that #21, Tripe?

Obviously, she isn't property of Angel then, and it's great to see her again!

And is the Willow cover still on for #19? I haven't looked in 7 or so weeks.

[Tripe]

Yes it's the one currently for 21 and yes the willow cover still seems to be ready for 19 (which presumably will be out next week  )

[TeamRAD]

It's showtime!

Do the first 6 pages pack a punch or what? And I spit out my oolong tea when I read Willow's comment on Buffy's nose.

I'm really liking the variant cover for #19 too...

Spoiler

I'm leaning towards picking up that one, because of my affinity for Melaka.

[mearnest]

Thanks for the link.  I'm looking forward to picking this up even more now.

[Tripe]

Looks Ace, what is her game eh?

[esoobaC .T bocaJ]

But the next issue has the most adorable cover evah!

Spoiler

aw, I was hoping to see her in hell

[TeamRAD]

Looks Ace, what is her game eh?

Aside from her obvious attempt to change the time line, I'm stumped when it comes to what's exactly comprised in Future Fun's overall game. I wonder what's the probability of the present-day Willow witnessing Buffy taking out her future self? And just how foreboding is Willow's...

You realize the most important thing about death isn't who dies, it's who kills them.

While all of this is happening, Twilight's smiling!

[Tripe]

And we never really get much detail on the specifics.

Spoiler

Oh and TR, that's a big

on one possible identity for Twilight then.

If my personal; guess about the stories in this season is disrupted by Ms Summers Minor experiencing some sort of consensual version The Evil Dead I'm going to be pretty ticked off.

...hahahahaha.

With Riley's appearance, who is he really working for? What a nifty angle in the works!

Book 19 was outstanding, but the only answer we received...and it's a huge one...Fray's world is still alive & well.

The panel w/ Buffy stabbing Willow via means of the scythe was so sad. The color of her eyes changed back to their natural state after it was said and done. That was also some lethal blow Buffy delivered. And what was up with the BOOM upon Willow's impaling? Did she possibly manipulate the scythe in any fashion?? I'm wagering a guess that's happening.

And how about the metatextual meaning behind Buffy breaking Fray's scythe? Holy mockers!! Joss brought out the guns...

The Buffy/Fray fight racks up as one-of-the-best in the Buffyverse in my opinion. It was truly amazing. Gunther is a definitive badass when threatened. Dawndner is as cute as ever....and...

I loved the exchanges between Warren & Amy while overlooking the forest action...I'm gonna build a robot you with no mouth....fun stuff.

I also had quite a giggle when Buffy knocked out Erin while following it with That's for "Puffy".

Lastly, Harth has to stop running away...for someone who harnesses all sorts of awesome...he's sure a coward.

I loved the arc, and Fray, come back soon, you hear...and it's onward to December 10th...a scant 12 days away.

[TeamRAD]

Does anyone know if Book 20 is coming out this forthcoming Wednesday or next? I'm reading conflicting reports.
