The "Really Cool Girl" Is Back! (And Everything Buffy Season 8)

[TeamRAD]

Tripe, are you picking it up this week, and getting After the Fall too?

I'll be scoring both sometime, late, this afternoon.

...will be back to discuss. *thumbs-up*

[Tripe]

Yep though, atypically for me, I'll be doping that tommorrow instead of today. I have a bunch of errands I need to run in the opposite direction of the comic book store.

[gbeenie]

Read issue #18 this morning. Squee!

[Tripe]

Oh yes i finished it yesterday.

Best issue ever:

Not just naked Willow, naked orgasmic Willow

Also Fray's a bit dim at times isn't she?

[TeamRAD]

And to think this is going to get better...

Spoiler

I couldn't believe Joss referenced career week from What's My Line?, Season 2! Oh my god, that was awesome!! I so love being a fan of Buffy as it's so rewarding.

And she still cannot drive!

Overall, the book was super. Harth is just oozing cool and poor Gunther.

Okay, I tossed in Grave after I read this book and there's a striking resemblance with Saga Vasuki and the woman, draped with the big-ass snake, whom was on the temple Willow resurrected. That can't be a coincidence, right? Joss is working his magic.

The Slayer line is wiped, but when?

Tripe, you're gonna be disappointed in me. I picked up the alternative cover with Buffy driving the flying car. I couldn't pass it up.

Best issue ever:

No, my friend, that will be Book 19.

[Tripe]

Oddly I could say the same about tha standard cover

I think you're right about the temple, good catch.

[TeamRAD]

As much as I'm sad to see this arc come to an end this week, I cannot wait to see how this pans out.

Anyone else excited for the conclusion of ToYL? And any guesses on what's gonna happen??

[TeamRAD]

So not only did I have to learn, last week, about the disappointment of B19 being delayed until October 15th....I've now learned, from my sis, it's been delayed until the middle of November?!?

Come on Dark Horse, what gives?

[Tripe]

Something extra special this way comes?

[gbeenie]

Oh, it's the last couple of issues of Astonishing X-Men all over again. C'mon, Joss! It's not like Brian Bolland is drawing it, fer crying out loud!

[TeamRAD]

So at the comic book store last night, I had a couple of things cleared up.

- Book 19 is coming out November 26th. There really isn't any way around it, that sucks.
- Books 20 & 21, are supposedly coming our way in December. They're both stand-alones, and Book 20 will be the flashback book with the accompaying "animated series" art work. This will be super-cool! I'm still unsure where Oz appears. Joss stated that the arc Espenson's writing will mark the return of Oz. So I don't know what's going on with him other than he's coming back sometime soon. I've a feeling he's coming back in B20 in the flashback.

That's about it, and I scored a Angel, Season 2, action figure of Darla last night. It's so RAD!

Let the wait until the 26th begin...gah....

[TeamRAD]

Hey, check this out Buffy fans...look what's arrived for pre-order @ Amazon...

http://www.amazon.ca/Buffy-Vampire-Slayer-Season-Time/dp/1595823107/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1225351530&sr=1-1

More importantly, did you catch the monster spoiler in the "Product Description"?

Willow and Buffy head to New York City to unlock the secrets of Buffy's mysterious scythe, when something goes terribly awry. Buffy is propelled into a dystopian future where there's only one Slayer-Fray, the title character of Joss Whedon's 2001 series, the first comic he ever wrote. Their uneasy alliance falls apart, leading to the death of a major character from the TV series, while back in the twenty-first century, the Scotland base falls prey to a mystical bomb courtesy of the Biggest Bad-Twilight.

I'm pretty sure I called the death of future Willow earlier in this thread, right?

It's far from a given while being a fan of Joss, but the dominoes have been lined up.

3 weeks from today...

[Tripe]

I'm pretty sure I called the death of future Willow earlier in this thread, right?

Yep, well done

[TeamRAD]

This is pretty ambitious...someone's been animating Season 8 via The Movies PC game....here's book 2 of "Time of Your Life"...

Whomever is doing the voice of Willow is really good. However, Harth...it doesn't place a chill down my spine much like his appearances do in the panels.

[Tripe]

There's an odd flatness in the delivery, but it's pretty interesting.

Harth looks really good though.
