I checked in my library to make sure it was still there because it's a top 20 riff for sure.

I've got Wizard, but dang, a little warning guys?  C'mon.  Give people a chance to throw money at you before stuff is gone forever.

My guess is they're working down to the wire to try to renew the rights, so they don't want to say "We're losing The Wizard in two weeks," then have to turn around and say "Just kidding! It's renewed!"

Gotta be something like that. Announcing, "This Rifftrax is going away, soon!" would only lead to a boost in sales. If they vanish without warning, there's gotta be a good reason.

I don't understand why they don't just release some of these movies as MP3 in addition to the VOD.  Some movies are too obscure for this to work, but The Wizard and Hawk the Slayer certainly aren't.
I'm not particularly religious, and I don't really like Muppets, but I do love word play.

The two Doctor Who movies are available again.

I just bought the latest 3 (Merlin, Deadly Instincts, and Psychotronic Man), plus a donation as oblique payment for my torrenting of Wizards of the Lost Kingdom (would've bought legitimately if they let me).  Was thinking of waiting until either a sale or waiting until I got through my backlog of unwatched 'trax first, but this list shows you can't take chances.

Last Thanksgiving I was able to get H@wk the Sl@yer even tho it was off the catalog. The trick is to have the movie in your w!shl!st, then buy.

Also, The Wizard is back!

Looks like "Hawk the Slayer" is back.

Hawk the Slayer
Feature film · 2014

If you took a Dungeons & Dragons adventure written hastily by an 8th grader during study hall and turned it into a movie, you’d wind up with something a lot like Hawk the Slayer.

Just pointing out that yesterday Shout Factory announced they had purchased Roger Corman's entire catalog, including Wizards of the Lost Kingdom.  It's possible that Rifftrax might get thrown a bone and be able to put it back in print.  That is, unless Shout doesn't want this version to compete with their MST version, but the two companies seem to be on solid terms and it's really the best shot we've got to get it back.

I was disappointed when my search for "Hawk" did not yield Over The Top. Perhaps I should search for "Hawks"?

Perhaps 'It Conquered The World' from MST3K Season 3 will be released as a single DVD from Shout! Factory?
