1108 - The Loves of Hercules - Spoiler Thread

Yes Jonah doesn't do anything different, he could, but it sounds like they didn't have any time to do stuff like that.

When the episode names leaked on IMDB it was just listed as "Hercules" I was hoping it was this one:

Spoiler

There needs to be more Golan/Globus Cannon Films riffs in the world!

Is he fighting a Star Wars?

This one took me by surprise as I'm not a fan of the skirt steak and sandals genre. But this Hercules movie was the campiest and most fun of any riffed so far in that genre. The Hydra, the tree men, the green Amazonians--there was a lot for them to riff off and the ep chugged along nicely. My second favorite of this season up to this point.

Enjoyed this one more than I expected to... the Herc movies in the classic show were a bit hit-and-miss for me.

Hercules in this one was played by Mickey Hargitay, Jayne Mansfield's husband, a condition of her being in the movie.  I'm not sure if he's the one doing the cheesy Italian accent or if someone else dubbed his lines.

I'd like to amend my previous answer of not enjoying the Hercules movies of the original series: I'm currently watching "Hercules and the Captive Women" in season 4 and I couldn't help but crack up at every line involving "Uranus" (take that, Beavis & Butt-head!)!

This may be my favorite so far, and I typically don't care for Hercules-type movies. The riffs were great.

Am I the only one that thought the guy who dubbed Hercules' voice sounded a LOT like Tommy Wiseau?

My wife said that during the movie.

Didn't enjoy it quite as much the second time, but I think it's still one of the better ones from Season 11.
