Maybe, but there's something about this that seems particularly unpleasant.  Especially since it seems to be an adaptation of the Gene Wilder film with really bad line reads.  As bad as those Scooby-Doo/The Flintsones/The Jetsons crossover films are, they don't seem as thoroughly unpleasant as this.

Yeah, it sounds like it's just an animated copy of the original with Tom & Jerry stuck in here and there, also using voice actors that sound very close to the actors in the original movie add a creepy vibe to it.

It'd be more interesting if it was Tom and Jerry meeting the fake trailer GOBSTOPPER version. The one from a couple years ago with Christopher Lloyd.

The way things have been going with Hanna Barbara, we're lucky they're not meeting the WWF.

The irony is, I should be glad it's traditional animation instead of CG. But this just looks so poorly conceived, I can't even take that as a consolation.

Tom and Jerry is such a problem property now. The entire point of these two characters were to be horribly violent for the sake of comedy, and you can't possibly live up to its past without making it purely for adults.

Yeah, it's got name recognition, but nobody wants the neutered thing it's become.

Maybe Cartoon Network needs a late-night network to sit between their kids programming and Adult Swim. Like how Snick used to bridge Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite. Just a block of animation that's not explicitly adult, but not for the kiddies, either. Car-Teen Network! I'm a genius! Someone pay me for this idea. :^)
