I'm in love with the whole concept. A group of scientists catch and contain ghosts as a service. There are so many ways you can go with that. Lots of stories that can be told. That's why I have high hopes for the new one. There's something I like woven into the very premise.

Now this is too far. We all know that women did not evolve to slime like men did. This is a flawed concept. Just more propaganda from the femi-nazis to enslave the men into thinking that their hotdog eating skills are not needed in society.

Two things I took away from that article that I didn't realize before:

1.
QuoteIt's directed by Paul Feig from a script he co-wrote with Katie Dippold.
It's cowritten by a woman. That is encouraging.
2.
QuoteLeslie Jones' Patty Tolan, then, is the Ghostbusters team's everyman character who winds up playing an important role connected to an early supernatural encounter.
It seems Leslie Jones will be taking part of the Sigourney Weaver role from the original. Which at least gives her a little more reason to be there since in the trailers it looks like she just barges in and invites herself to be part of the group. It also means less likely for there to be a pointless love story in the movie.

The Lurker

Sounds like she's part Dana, part Winston

Cats and dogs living together? sounds like pusandry to me  :gouge:

That's the indication, yes. I just hope her character is actually likable, because she comes across just awful in the trailers. Well, except for the gag of her walking away with the demon ghost thing on her shoulders, I liked that bit.
The key to Winston was Ernie Hudson's charisma. And that he was immediately accepted in the group as just one of the guys.

The Lurker

Looks like it's doing fine on Rotten Tomatoes.

I never believed it was going to be a bad movie. Already got my ticket and looking forward to seeing it this Thursday.

I can understand why people would be skeptical, though.

Or it's a reboot, which have pretty bad track records.

Sure. Lots of good ones too though, and a good team attached to this one.
