I think Judd Apatow comes across as more than a little dickish here, and I'm someone who despises Trump and has no patience with manbabies complaining about the existence of the new Ghostbusters in a way they probably wouldn't if the Ghostbusters were all men:

I can understand the comparison when it was just people complaining because they were all women. But now that we have very unfunny trailers to actually gage the movie by. How accurate they are for the final film is debatable, but it is something.

I certainly didn't say you had to be sexist to think it looks awful. I think the troll brigade that are doing their best to take it down are sexist.

That's what a trailer is for. Granted comedies are often not well represented by just a few jokes. But why are people stupid for using material designed to generate interest in a movie, to determine if they're interested in it?

Trailers are for raising awareness for a product.

They are pretty poor for use as a source to determine if a comedy is funny or not, for the reasons outlined earlier.

I hate it when that happens. But it would be a good thing if they got rid of that bit with Leslie Jones slapping McCarthy, and her stagediving, screaming like Madea, . That is just inexcusably bad.

The good news is apparently the movie, much like the original, has an element of horror, but you'd never know from the trailers.

The other good news is you don't need to watch it or even have an opinion, it can just exist and you can do other things
